I was psyched to find what I hoped was a good moisturizer with SPF 30. Well, this isn't it. I used it as a base for makeup and it balls up in a weird way when you rub it in. It makes me wonder how well it can possibly work when it seems that's already coming off before I step outside! Although I usually buy more expensive products, I've found that the Olay Complete All Day Moisuture Lotion SPF 15 for sensitive skin works way better that this DDF stuff.

Due to sun overexposure as a child (when the sun was "good" for you), I cannot walk out of the house, rain ro shine, without sun protection. I have been using DDF matte for years, find it is the only product that sits well with my oilier skin, does not cause break outs, plays no havoc with makeup, and has lots of other antioxidants to nourish. Only minor drawback is learning to do a quick scan for white tell-tale signs of it....I believe that because it is matte (which is essential for me), it may not be as melty into the skin as some more heavily moisturizing products. But if you need this combination of qualities, it is a very fine product indeed.

I love this sunscreen. I have been a user of Neutrogena sunscreen for a long time but this absorbs much more quickly and leaves your skin nice and matte; ready for applying the make up pretty much within couple of minutes.

I'm not sure how effective the protection is, because, like another reviewer, I found that this make weird flakes when I massage it into my skin. And if you don't massge it in, you get white streaks. Does it just ball up and end up on my hands- gotta wonder! Also, my makeup settles into my pores or cakes up at the edges and thus makes a very unlovely orange and "uncovered" patchwork quilt kind of thing out of my face. I think it's the titanium dioxide that causes this, which is why I normally avoid anything with that chemical. Had I known this contained that, I would not have purchased it.

This has got to be the worst sunscreen I have ever tried. I was expecting so much more for the price. It does not absorb at all, and when I tried to rub it in it forms white flakes or balls, whatever you want to call it. I will not buy this again, drugstore products worked so much better at half the price.

I would give this product 10 STARS if I could. It is the best sun protection for your face that you can buy, PLUS all the antioxidants and quality skin care ingredients are fantastic. I have had absolutely no problem applying this product - it blends beautifully and you can feel that it contains top-notch nutrients for your skin. It leaves a nice matte finish even in this brutal heat and with my normally oily skin. I cannot understand why anyone would use anything else!?!? Everyone should be using this.

This product works well, but if you want a product that performs the same function at less than half the price, try Neutrogena's sheer sun protection.

This product is not matte AT ALL. It leaves my skin shiny just like any other sunscreen. There is really no such thing as a QUALITY, MATTE FINISH sunscreen, especially when you are up in the 30 SPF. The higher the SPF, the greasier it will be because of the increased amount of zinc in the formulation. I still use this product because I can't find anything else. I refuse to leave the house with my face shiny, so I use MAC blotting films. I use about 2 on my face before I leave, and it makes my face matte. I also use another later in the day to keep my face shine free. Try those if you have oily skin like I do.

I would actually like to give this product 0 stars, but it doesn't seem to be an option. This was probably one of the worst sun block I have ever used. It wouldn't spread onto my skin! It just leaves these white streaks when you put it on and when you try to rub it in, it rolls out into little white pieces. To accommodate for this problem, I tried putting it on before any other products, after my products, mixing it with different moisturizers, and patting it on. It was easier to blend when mixed with a moisturizer but still flaked off into little white pieces. Furthermore, I don't think it was really mattifying. I prefer Peter Thomas Roth Oil-Free Sunblock SPF30. It has all the right ingredients a sunscreen should have in order to give maximum protection and not those substitute ingredients that compromise protection for consistency. It is slightly greasy, but not too bad (and I have REALLY oily skin). It goes on smooth and there are no white streaks!

I had really high hopes for this SPF product since I haven't been able to find any really good for my oily/acne prone skin. I will say that it is the best that I have used, because of the non-greasy feel and the matte-look of it on your skin. However, for me it wasn't completely shine-free and I got the white streaks that a lot of the other reviewers were talking about. I don't know if I will buy this product again or not, because of the price.
