I think the basic scent here is lavender, but it comes across as just 'fresh,' in a gender-neutral way. I've been using this for forty years, since discovering it in Europe. (European men use this -- very attractive!) My basic summer splash for hot weather, when my other favorite scents are too heavy for daytime use. Wish I could get the towelettes again, and I'm stocking up because I worry that yet another sale of the company will change the original formula.

I use this every day. I think it is the ultimate clean smell. People have used this stuff for hundreds of years.

The only thig I found wrong is the description is not of the product I received. I received 27 oz. not 2.7 oz and itwas splash on after shave not cologne.
