Great meter ! I love the ease of its use and the painless lancet device. Takes a very small amount of blood too. I received this meter from my diabetes educator for free and I highly recommend it for newly diagnosed diabetics. I test 2x's a day and have never had any error messages from the machine. Setup of the meter was also very easy. Accuchek also provides great support from their web site as well.

I have been diabetic for many years. I am 55 (2010). Of all the products I have used over the past 30 years, Accu-Chek products have been the most accurate. The company has provided me incredible support as well. I am currently on an insulin pump. Unfortunately, I discovered Accu-Chek also makes an insulin pump only after I purchased (from my doctor's promotion) a Medtronics pump. I didn't know I had a choice. Roche needs to promote their products more in physician's offices. They are better in my (experienced) opinion, especially when it comes to helping patients.

Got this product free from the Diabetic center. Love the cartridge with 5 lancets. I had another one without cartridge and I'll take this one over the other one every day! Surprisingly takes very little blood sample too! :) If only had one test strip that failed to accept my blood sample and that could have been my fault.

The only good thing about this meter is the lancet device, the multiclix. In my 23 years with diabetes, this is the best one I have ever used. Painless, and it has a drum with 6 lancets, instead of being just one. I use this lancet device for my routine testing. The meter is cheap. Get loads of error messages and it likes to reset it self, which makes it difficult to test in an emergency. The only plus of the meter is that It has large numbers for those with problems seeing the small numbers on other meters.

I got this product from my doctor and I have had no problems with it. Granted I do not use it every day but every time I have it has worked. It uses such a small sample of blood it makes it very easy. Another thing that makes it easy are the lancets. I am so glad to have them be 5 at a time so I am not changing them constantly. I get nervous when using it and it is very easy to just push the button,put the blood on the strip, wait 5 seconds and be done.

My 8 year old son has been using this for the entire school year. He tests 7-10 times a day and wears a Medronic insulin pump with CGM sensors. We have had to replace These meters about every 4-6 weeks. They loose the date and time and ask to have it reset before you can test. Not cool in a rush for a low. [...]I am not looking for another kind of meter.

I got this meter this month and I really like the small sample and the lancing device. I like the idea of not having any lancets to worry about. If you're looking for a good meter and an easy one to use, I would go with this one.
