Unit is accurate and very convenient, but at about $1/test, there are too many "ERR's" Excellent unit otherwise.Batteries are fine; test drums are fresh. Get 1-3 "ERR's" per drum.

As a newly diagnosed diabetic I looked very carefully at all of the options for meters and testing strips. I knew I wanted a testing system that would be easy to use and carry as I travel with work. The Accu-Check Compact Plus is great for me because the strips are packaged in 17 count drums. I don't have to worry about contaminating or spilling strips when trying to open those little film canister things or having to fish out just one strip. And even testing 4 times a day I have enough strips to get through the weekend on one drum.
