I went and bought a "store brand" generic lancet device and struggled with it from day 1. I found that it didn't match up to the Accu-Chek Softclix Lancet Device and had to find it. After receiving the device, checking blood was so much easier. The spring is sturdy, the device is compact, and best of all it works correctly 100% of the time. Spend a little more and get this lancet device and you won't be disappointed. My last one worked for over 5 years.

This is SENSATIONAL!! Old product didn't operate this well. I LOVE the EASE of using this. My husband claims I am finally not trying to get "bone marrow".

It comes with the clear shield that allows you to use it on the arm or other alternate site. It's hard to find lancing devices with this feature unless it comes with the meter.

I really like this lancet. It is the most painfree lancet I have ever used. This is my 6th or 7th brand.

The only thing I don't like about the product is the high price. My insurance refused to pay for this device. Other lancets I have used felt like a nail to the finger. IF I had a child who needed testing I would get this so as not to "hurt" them so much.

This is a pricey, but very sturdy lancet device. The knob at the tip has many depth settings so you can always fine one that's right for you. The only drawback of this device is that it uses only the Softclix lancets. They're shaped differently than all others on the market. The shaft is a flat rectangle, instead of being round like all the others. The lancets are also quite expensive.
I've had one of these for about 7 years and it's still in perfect condition, while I've broken a couple of other devices I was using side-by-side in that time. I reuse lancets, changing them only when I remember which can be a couple of months. So, price isn't that much of a factor for me. I've still got the same box of 100 lancets from 7 years ago, although I did use other devices/lancets at the same time.
5 stars for performance & durability, but only giving it 4 due to the outrageous cost & branded lancets.
