Comments about Ace Self-Adhering Elastic Bandage, Model 207461, 3 inches, 1 ea:
I tried using this product on my ankle, with medium tension on the wrapping. The self-adhering aspect to the product seemed good at first, but is nothing more than a "tackiness" to the bandage, which loses an ability to hold firmly as it is worn. In less than one day, the bandage unwraps by itself and no longer adheres well enough to maintain any tension on the wrap. This product may be alright as a one time use bandage that helps hold itself in place during the initial wrap - but then some other method will be needed to keep it from unwrapping as it is worn. The tackiness goes away entirely after it is first used and becomes just an ordinary elastic bandage thereafter - except for no metal clasp like ACE's other product.
