High fluoride content good taste! The higher the fluoride % the better and tastes good. If ur gums are receding the more fluoride the better! Tastes good feels good helps ur gums and repairs enamel. Helped my gums doesn't hurt I use it at least 2x a day my gums & teeth feel great! Floss too! I have no insurance but using a stainless steel pick breaks up the plaque too! 4g's in dental work gotta keep it healthy!

I am a regular user of the original Act Anticavity fluoride rinse. I have never had any problems with the original rinse, and I have had good dental checkups since using that rinse.

While on vacation, however, I used a travel size of the Act Total Care Fresh Mint rinse (alcohol-free). Within days, I developed painful, swollen canker sores on my gums. I thought that there was another cause to the sores, so I continued to use Act Total Care to alleviate the problem. The problem continued to get worse to the point where I was searching for an emergency dentist.

Nevertheless, I suddenly stopped using Act Total Care and the problem cleared itself up within a few days. I cannot help but remark on the "coincidence" that the canker sore problem started when I began to use Act Total Care, and the problem stopped right after I ceased using Act Total Care. All other factors (toothpaste, toothbrush, floss) remained the same as usual.

I write this review as a warning to persons with sensitive mouth conditions - an ingredient contained in Act Total Care Fresh Mint rinse may trigger canker sores. I continue to use the original mint Act Anticavity rinse without any issue.

WHAT A STICKY MESS. Bought three bottles of these, loved the fact its alchol free yet still says it kills germs, LOVE the taste what I HATE is your supposed to use the cap to measure the correct does out then put the cap right back on either rinsing it or not it LEAVES a huge STICKY mess on the bottle on your counter. I emailed the company and got really no help two sentines saying thanks for letting us know and since this has alchol they have to have a child safty cap on it (IT DOESNT CONTAIN ALCHOL) the bottle says it doesnt I emailed them back we will see, they dont seem to care at all. That's unfortainte.

When i purchased this new bottle, I was trying to replace the last one I bought, which was convenient with the insert inside and squeeze to push up dose to top.

Never thinking, I bought this one which is not same as before, but I thought because it was "ACT", it should be fine. I don't have bad breath, just want the coating to protect my teeth, which was the ORIGINAL object of the product.

I am surprised there is no 800 number to call the company about the packaging not including the inset in the bottle.. It was better that way.
If you know who the manufacturer is, please inform them.

I read over these reviews and some say it doesn't work for them. For me, it actually worked quite well. My wife complained about my bad breath for years, until I started using this mouthwash twice a day (actually, i usually use the 33oz bottle which is a bit weaker but can be used 2X per day rather than this, but it seems to be a bit harder to find). I tried other mouthwashes (with lots of alchohol) but they didn't work for me. My guess is that it is very personal, that is if you have bad breath, one product that works for one person will not work for another, so basically none of these reviews are probably very reliable for everyone. My guess is to try things until you find something that works for you, but for me this mouthwash works fine.

One thing: I do agree with the reviewer who said that you need to rince the cap out after each use, otherwise the bottle gets sticky. I did that without thinking, and don't think it is to big a deal, although yes it would be better if the bottles didn't have that problem.

This is a huge step backwards from the excellent original product. Same active ingredients, but different packaging. If you don't CAREFULLY rinse out the removable cup/cap before you put it back on the bottle, sticky, gooey mouthwash will ooze allover the bottle and ultimately all over your bathroom. It stains, too, although the red is a lot worse in that regard than the green.

I'm sure the original version is just as gooey, but its metering bottle keeps the mess under control. Both versions put fluoride on your teeth, which is the point.

They changed the flavor for this version, too. Taste is subjective, but to me, this version tastes like transmission fluid smells.

It is a very good anti-cavity and gum antiseptic product.

This has a very mild taste which was not overpowering. It did not burn my mouth at all and I am assuming it is because it does not contain alcohol. It did however leave a bad aftertaste that I did not like.
