When using this product

This is something that I can use when I wake up in the middle of the night and can't breathe through my nose. It gets rid of the problem fairly quickly so I can go back to sleep. It doesn't seem to last an entire 12 hours when my sinus issues are really bad, but it works when other options don't.
Delivery was prompt as usual. However, one of the Afrin packages I received was open and the contents had drained out. I checked the package and found the cap in the plastic bottle was very loose even though the protective seal was in tact. I would sincerely appreciate a replacement be sent or credit issued to my account for the$5.99 purchase price.
I'm a long time customer of Drugstore.com and plan to remain a loyal customer so I think my request is not out of line.
I use this product at night when I just can't breathe through my nose. It works fast and lasts a long time. I only use this when I absolutely have to; it's not good to over use it. It works.
Despite its addictive qualities, Afrin does what it is supposed to do: open up your nose in just a few minutes & it lasts all day or night. I was hooked on it for 30+ years due to allergies until I began allergy shots. Now I only use it when I have to, such as the first few days of a cold or sinus infection. In fact, during the years I was hooked on it I rarely got a sinus infection & I think that's because Afrin kept the swelling down so my sinuses could drain. I'm using it very carefully right now with a cold. It takes longer to get hooked if you only use 1 squirt instead of 2 & go as long as you can before using another dose. Neti pots, saline sprays & so forth do absolutely NOTHING for me if I'm congested even though a lot of people swear by them. When you gotta breathe, you gotta breathe.
Look - it's not a good idea to use anything but a saline nasal spray. I know this and am very careful. But when I can't sleep, when I can't breathe through my nose because of sinus or allergy congestion, it's time. Use sparingly because when the effects wear off, the inflammation is back even more strongly. So begin other treatment in meanwhile because you don't want to rely upon the spray. Nonetheless, this one is effective and gets me through.
Adults and children 6 to under 12 years of age (with adult supervision):2 or 3 sprays in each nostril not more often than every 10 to12 hours. Do not exceed 2 doses in any 24-hour period.

To spray, squeeze bottle quickly and firmly. Do not tilt head backward while spraying. Wipe nozzle clean after use.
