Comments about After Bite Xtra, .7 oz:
AfterBite Xtra used to have a bullet applicator tip. They have changed it to a regular tube tip that you have to use your finger or a q-tip to apply the gel. It was so much easier, more effective and economical with the old bullet applicator tip. Unfortunately, they have the old applicator tube tip on the box, but that's not what you get(false advertising). I have emailed Tenders and requested that they replace my order this new tip with the old much more effective tip. Even though this is a major flaw now, AfterBiteXtra is dramatically effective on all insect bites including Brown Recluse Spider bites and jellyfish stings. No better formula on the market. Just the new tube design in awful.
I keep one in my purse and one in my garden basket. I take one with me when I want to sit outdoors in the evening. Long long ago my mother put a dab of Household Ammonia on every bite. This product smells the same and works even faster and more effectively.
Product works effectively upon application, its the best after bite product I've tried, and I have an allergy problem with bites and this takes the redness, swelling and itching down soon after application.
I got After Bite because I go camping a lot and read the reviews which were positive, but I have to say after a weekend of camping and putting this on my many bites, it didnt really work for me. It relieved the itching for maybe an hour or so and then I'd have to reapply, which was definitely inconvenient at night, in the dark (its kind of gooey and you cant really tell how much you've got on). So for camping, I think I'd like to find something else. If you need a quick fix for a bite, this will provide some relief, but not for the long haul.
Mosquito season in South Florida last much longer than in many other parts of the US, and this product provides immediate relief from mosquito bite itch.
I usually get the regular After Bite, but got the gel this time for something different. Works great just as the liquid After Bite does however the gel does come out a bit fast so you get a little more than you need. Great product, though.
