Taking this will not prevent you from getting sick, but it can help prevent you from being taken out by people who cough on you or germs you pick up on doorknobs. I do not give this to him on a regular basis, however, I do give this to him the start of every school year and as "sickness" becomes on the rise at school. IMO, you lose nothing by using it and often can avoid having to go any further than your home health care cabinet for being healthy. If I get the feeling away from home or forget to take it as soon as I feel sympmtoms I heat up a mug of hot water and drink it warm! I think it makes it taste even better and works so much faster! I had heard about and read about it and when I started feeling like a cold was coming on, I ran to the store and got a package of the orange. I had been sneezing and runny nose to the point of it starting to hurt on a Thursday night. I definitely felt a cold coming on, so I took a dose as soon as I got home from the drug store, and realized an hour or so later that I was feeling much better. I took it again the next morning, then went to work till noon. When I came home about 1 p.m. I took it again and felt amazing that night. Absolutely no sign of a cold! You do need to take it immediately after symptoms show for an actual bug. I also use it as a preventative. I only like the taste of the orange. Also great for dissolving powdered vitamin product.
