My experience suggests that AlavertD outperforms other similar decongestants and anti-histamine combos with regards to symptom relief and minimal sedating effects of anti-histamine although from a pharmacological perspective it doesn't really make sense that it should and this may be an individual response. The symptoms of rhinitis and sweating that i added are not FDA approved indications to my knowledge, but things i found to be positively impacted for an immediate use type of setting. The rhinitis, however, will show some rebound hours after use as with any sympathomimetic. The use of these types of medications fades with regular use and tolerance may increase, so if you are a regular user, taking breaks from the medication would be advantageous.

I have seasonal problems with congestion, headache and watery eyes. I have always used Aleve cold and sinus but thought I would try Alavert It was OK but it did ot help my congestion headaches as well and did not last near as long. My husband used it for burning eyes and it helped him more. I will go back to the Aleve.
I suffer from allergy headaches and congestion with the change of seasons. After years of trying different products, I finally tried Alavert D-12. Now it's the only one I use. As with any "long-lasting" medication, it doesn't quite hold up to its 12-Hour claim, but it is effective with the congestion and headaches.
This is the only product out there that provides effective allergy relief for me. I suffer from seasonal allergies, like clockwork, twice a year. Alavert D has the ingredients that take care of the congestion, pressure and headache that come with the allergies. Just wish this one came in a 24-Hr version.
I've had chronic sinusitus for years. Alavert D seems to be the only remedy that truly helps keep it at bay. I tried several other brands again this year -- no luck. I'll stick with Alavert D. Just wish they had a 24-Hour version of the D formula.

Great stuff. Exact same ingredients as Claritin D or Lorat-D 12 hour formulas but cheaper. Obviously it works exactly the same. Definitely recommended for Claritin D users.
