Indications

This is an antihistamine, not a decongestant. I often take it with Sudafed (the kind the pharmasist has behind the counter). Sudafed is a decongestant. We like that Alavert dissolves quickly and has a very pleasant mint flavor. I don't experience any side effects- I did when I tried Zyrtec.
I have allergies to dust and mold. Being a farmer I encounter both a lot. An Alavert in the morning usually prevents allergy attacks. If I forget to take one, I can usually take one if I notice any symptoms coming on to stop them . I use Alavert as my first line of defense to avoid stronger medications.
I use Alavert daily for my regular, mild sinus symptoms. It doesn't make me sleepy, and it provides long enough relief to take me through the entire day. The flavor is pleasant, which is important to me since it's taken by dissolving the tiny tablet on your tongue.
