I have tried all sorts of acne products including prescription pills, creams, etc. I swipe this on at night with a cotton ball every couple days and have noticed a huge improvement in my chin acne!

I love this astringent. It is the only one I love. Usually I go for the toner, but this one smells great, is super gentle, lasts forever, and never dries out my skin. I usually use it mid-day or in the morning. It is the only product in the Alba acne line I still use.

When I bought the astringent, I bought the whole routine as well including the deep pore wash and the spot treatment. It said it would improve my skin in a week and start in 8 hours. I did not see any great improvement although it did make my skin feel clean. I still love the wash but I would not recommend the other products. I did find a use for the astringent and it was really effective in clear back acne!

We've had an unusually hot, humid, sticky summer here in Orange County, and I normally don't need a toner, but, since my face was oilier and breaking out more than usual, I decided to give this a try.

I used the whole dang bottle, and noticed no improvement in skin clearing. What is more, my face still didn't feel clean after I used it. It left a residue and was a waste of my valuable primping time. Alba is really hit-and-miss, and I will stick with my higher-end lines when it comes to oily skin patches, acne, etc.

It stings and burns when you put on this tone so much that you want to wash it off immediately. And I don't even have sensitive skin. Also it does not do anything for acne prone skin. There are lots of better alternatives out there that doesn't irritate my skin.

I recently realized that the Clearsil that worked on my face when I was 16 is not working for me 10 years later so I decided I needed to start using more natural products on my acne-prone skin. I purchased the AcneDote astringent, AcneDote deep pore wash, and the Alba Hawaiian Oil-Free Moisturizer. I use them together using the astringent only once during my night time routine. I'm not sure if all the products used together make a difference, but my skin is great and acne free. I work out twice a day so sweat and oily skin is a big issue for me. This has definately helped to clear my face.

really enjoy using this wash. it's bringing all the impurities to the front, which is great. And, it leaves my skin clean of all make up.
