Actually, I love the smell! There are lots of good body lotions, but I especially like this one for the aroma.

I did some research for a daily moisturizer containing SPF, and this brand was reviewed highly as one of the more natural.

My intention was/is to apply it daily for additional sun protection, but I don't use it for my face so it's only really good for the summer, for me. I also haven't used it on my legs after shaving, as I have sensitive skin and fear I might have a reaction to it (although I haven't yet).

The product itself is ok. Like most sunscreens, it's a little "chalky", in that you have to use a lot to really feel like you have coverage. It's not what I'm used to with typical moisturizers, but that's ok for me because I'm not really using it in that way. It's not greasy, and it absorbs pretty well into my skin. I still use my usual moisturizers at night for dry skin, as needed, so this is more for daily sun protection.

There's no way to tell for sure if a sunscreen is working, but it does seem as if this serves that purpose. I do have to wonder, though, about the shelf life of the sunscreen in this bottle, since I have heard that most sunscreens should be replaced every year. I have a lot of this product left over and probably won't be using it again until next summer - I wish it came in a smaller bottle.

It's worth noting that as of this review Alba has not had any parabens in this product for over a year, and if you buy a new bottle the listed ingredients reflect that change. It's still not quite as purely good for the user and planet as I wish it could be & remain so lovely & effective but trying to avoid parabens kept me from buying more after trying & liking the old version- now I'm back to this for my everyday lotion.

I have been looking high and low for a lotion with spf that I can use for everyday on my body that does not have that chemical sunblock smell. This smells great but is more difficult to rub in than normal lotion like many sunblock are. However its worth it.

I use this practically every morning, whether it's sunny or not! Light scent (I don't find it to be sunscreen-y at all), non-greasy, and a nice amount of SPF for a regular day. Highly recommend!

This just smells like sunscreen, if I wanted to wear sunscreen, I would get actual SUNSCREEN. Pass on this is you are trying to get the best of both worlds, this stuff might perform well, but the scent made me gag.

Bummer, this smells just like a regular bottle of sunscreen, i am a huge fan of the unscented version of the regular lotion. I am sorely disappointed here. Some described it as a vanilla scent, don't be fooled, it smells like sunscreen, the properties are good, as far as a lotion goes.

This is my go-to summer body lotion. It has a light nutty scent, absorbs well, and isn't greasy. The best part is that it is a sunscreen without that heavy, thick texture that sunscreens often have.

I have used this moisterizer with an spf of 16 as a daily, after shower body lotion. I like everything about it, especially the spf factor. This does not take the place of a high spf sunscreen to be used at the beach.
