At the time of this review, this product DOES NOT have parabens. The formula must have changed between the time a previous review was written in regards to this product having parabens.I use this product because I find it hydrating and refreshing when my eyes are dry. I have acne-prone skin and much of the product I use to control my acne is very drying. Even a little of that stuff near my eye area really irritates it. I swipe on some of this before I apply my acne skin care, and the skin around my eyes is protected. It does not cause breakouts (you think there's no pores there? HOO WEE, there are - I found that out the hard way with other eye skin products) or irritation.A quirk about me, I guess, is that I love the way this makes my eyelids feel kind of 'tight' - as it dries, the gel seems to... man, I don't even know how to describe it, it feels like it tightens my skin somehow. Like any gel would, I guess, but it's not thick and goopy like most gels. But it does give me that kind of 'tight' feeling for a bit, and for some reason I like that. Maybe it makes me think, oh gosh! It's making my wrinkles go away /right now/ how amazing!Ahem. It doesn't seem to make wrinkles go away, obviously, but puffy or dry skin that makes wrinkles more prominent is combated and that helps ease the appearance of wrinkles.(Also, I swipe this on my eyebrows and it works like a styling gel for my eyebrows. I don't want to put actual HAIR styling gel on my eyebrows, but this does the same job, feels nice and doesn't cause skin irritation! Yay for keeping eyebrows in check!)To anyone who thinks twenty bucks for eye skin care products is expensive...? Pardon me while I laugh a little. Part of why I buy this is because I'm cheap. I want a moisturizer that's not going to make my skin break out or irritate my eyes should it come into contact with them. I'm not expecting any kind of miracle out of an [$] bottle of gel. You shouldn't either. It's good for its price point.

Meh. I haven't noticed any difference in about a month of regular use. It hasn't hurt anything, it just doesn't seem to do anything beneficial either. Plus it takes a while to absorb and it's really runny, so you have to be very careful with the pump. Save your money.

I loved Alba Botanica until I recently found that they use PARABENS! (A common, yet harmful preservative.) 70% organic and vegan friendly does NOT make up for the use of an ingredient that is KNOWN to cause tumors.

Absolutely rediculous that it would be in an EYE CREAM of all things.

Due to (painful!) Fibrocystic Breast Condition - which is fairly common - I refuse to continue to support companies that use an ingredient that is known to cause breast tumors and/or cancer.

Ladies!! Be aware, be educated, be SAFE. Always check ingredients.

I really like this eye gel! Even though I keep it in my cupboard (and not a refrigerator as is recommended by make-up artist) it still comes out at cooler temperatures. It has a real cooling sensation when I apply it. I use it morning and night to get maximum benefits! It may be my favorite eye product thus far! And I've tried many!

Great for reducing dry skin under eyes. Also works well at getting rid of puffiness around the eyes. Very soothing.

One of the few Alba products that disappointed me. It doesn't help with puffiness at all for me. It feels nice, and it moisturizes my undereye area, but so does the tinted moisturizer I use there. Won't be buying again.

I have not found this product to be sticky as others have commented. A little bit goes a long way. You have to use almost the entire bottle to really notice a difference but I have noticed a difference in puffiness and wrinkles.
I use this in the morning under makeup and in the evening after washing my face.

It feels refreshing, but it is sticky. Doesn't matter too much under make up, but still. Doesn't feel like it helps with tightening or preventing wrinkles, though. I got it for [$] on sale, so for that price its an okay back up eye gel.

This is the best de-puffer out there. Cucumber slices or cold tea bags are better, but I don't have time for that during the week. This is a miracle, better than very expensive creams I've tried. It makes me feel awake. I don't mind the stickiness. I put (Eucerin sensitive) sunscreen over it anyway, and that smoothes it out.

I usually love Alba, but this basically does nothing. I keep it in the fridge and so it feels nice going on...but I haven't noticed any change in texture, puffiness, or my dark circles and I've been using it for a while.
