I've recently started using Alba products. I am mid 30's and have had problem skin since I hit 30. My t zone is very oily, cheeks are dry and my chin is constantly breaking out in cystic acne. While I haven't noticed a difference in the acne (And I'm not sure there's anything out there that will make a difference) the over all quality of my skin is much better. It looks more healthy and feels smoother.

This product isn't a deep cleanser and it isn't going to really dig all the make up off your face. However, it does well if you're not a big make up wearer (Like me). it's extremely gentle. This is not a soap... you will NOT get bubbles when you get it wet. it tingles just slightly when you put it on. I usually let it sit for a minute while I'm in the shower then rinse it off. It has improved the texture of my skin. This is also probably a nice product for folks with dry skin as it leaves mine feeling clean and moisturized.

This is the first review of a product I have ever done. This face wash is a little bit of paradise after a long twelve hour night shift. I love the way it smells, the way it feels, the way my face feels afterwards. The cost is nominal, and I am getting a lot of use out of one bottle. I am hooked!

On the recommendatins here, I bought this, hoping it would replace the now eye stinging Dermalogica cleanser I was using. Thist is very gentle, but very hard to rinse off, and left me with a bumpy complexion. Maybe it is only for very very dry skin, or wintertime use. I would not buy this again.

Can find less expensive products but for the price this facial cleanser is a great bargain.

I tried this like a regular detergent cleanser the first time and didn't think I liked it. Since it has oils I decided to try it on my dry face first to let the oils dissolve my makeup and oil first and now I love it. If you think it's not working try it dry. I just rub it in and massage a little into the skin and then add water and rinse. It makes my skin soft and smooth and not tight like most cleansers I've tried. I have an oily t-zone prone to clogged pores but also sensitive skin and this stuff is great at dissolving oil without drying.

I'm trying to use more natural/paraben-free products, and I love AB's sea kelp exfoliating scrub and some of their body washes, so I gave this a try. It's VERY different than their pineapple extract facial wash, which is deep-cleaning and will sting your eyes if you get it near them. I hoped this would be gentler but still effective, but I'm disappointed. It doesn't remove makeup at all, unless you use a washcloth and really scrub, which is rough on my skin (and lashes, when removing mascara). I always end up with foundation and eye makeup on my towel when I dry my face, and I don't use waterproof products -- other cleansers have removed it thoroughly, but this one barely touches it. The scent is a little strange -- I'd compare it to clay or Play-doh -- not offensive, but not really pleasant. I feel like it's good for my skin, but what's the point if I have to use something else to take my makeup off?

My face gets very dry during the winter, and this soap is one of the few I can use without feeling chapped for the rest of the day. It ACTUALLY moisturizes while it cleans. I've been using it for years now (and btw, a single bottle lasts forever because the stuff is so thick), and I couldn't imagine surviving an east coast winter without it.

I like this stuff to use on a daily basis. It's not drying at all. I found despite other reviews, it's not the best makeup remover. I like to use witch hazel or toner so that's not really an issue. It doesn't exfoliate either which is sort of a bummer so it doesn't necessarily make your skin feel fresh.

I do like to use it as a natural cleanser to my face because I know I'm a little harsh to it with toner. I can't stand having acne so sometimes I overtreat it. This stuff balances my face out just face. I use it as a go to cleanser for daily use.

The consistency is sort of weird and heavy, along with the scent, not bad, just weird.

I love how this smells! I use it for my evening cleanser before I go to bed. It's very moisturizing and takes off makeup well.

If you're looking for a cleanser that leaves your skin "squeaky clean", this isn't for you.
