I love this conditioner! I don't know why people are complaining about the smell, it may not smell that great while you're using it but it makes your hair smell delicious afterwards. I have greasy scalp with dry ends so I make sure to only use this on the lower half of my hair. Its thick and smooths out my crazy wavy hair.

I love Alba because I am trying to get away from chemical cosmetics. Unfortunately this conditioner was just not heavy enough for my thick, curly hair. I noticed a thin haired reviewer was very pleased so perhaps this is better for straight or thin hair. It just didn't have that deep conditioning feel when I put it on. The smell was fine but I guess I need a slightly greasy feel since I have curly, frizzy (not African but close) hair.

I do love the Alba brand and buy a lot of the moisturizers. I'll use this up on my 6 yr old daughter who has thin straighter hair and thinks all conditioners are "cool".

I was pleasantly surprised by this product. I have fine straight hair and often find that conditioners weigh my hair down or are too oily or gummy for my hair. This product is not so. I love it because my hair combs out easily, and is very manageable afterwards. I use it mostly on the ends but even putting it lightly throughout my hair--I've never had a problem. I use it every time I shower as lately I don't want to use my other stuff (although I have LOTS of expensive, salon stuff--but it builds up and requires switching through products to counteract that issue.) Anyhow, this doesn't seem to build up. I don't notice any "funny" smell and I'm very aware of "off" scents.

i like it a lot except it is too thick...i prefer a slightly thinner consistency in a conditioner.

Hahaha! I asked for organic, and I got it: This conditioner smells like dirt. Or stale smoke. Or illegal organic smoke. As several reviews have described, it does indeed smell delicious in the bottle (just like mango candy!), but somehow we've been duped--the promise of a fruity paradise disappears with one squirt. I was looking for hair care without the nasty chemicals that make me itch, and the Alba line's natural approach is commendable, but I'm thinking they should rework the fragrance as previously suggested. It does seem to rinse clean, and I suppose the unusual scent could appeal to extra-earthy types, but do yourself a favor and put some in your hand before you pay ten bucks to pour it on your head. P.S. This conditioner may do great things for my hair, but that remains to be seen, as I was compelled to comment before plugging in my hairdryer.

I like this stuff okay. I was looking for something a bit heavier - being out in the salt water constantly is rough on your hair. This would be nice if I weren't looking for something heavy duty. The smell is quite peculiar. I thought it smelled at first as if I had been in a smoky bar. After I rubbed it in, it reminded me of the smell of dollar bills. Odd, but not too strong, and I used it all, so I guess it wasn't off putting. Not enough bang for your buck, bottom line.

Smell is a big thing with me for hair stuff. I liked it in the bottle, but when I actually use it in the shower; I think it smells like rotten fruit, not something nice and fresh. I bought it to try something different and more natural. I'll use it up, but I definitely won't buy it again.

This conditioner is not "smoothing" enough for my wavy coarse hair. The smell is ok.

This stuff smells so good! It made my hair bouncy and shiny too. I will definately buy this again! :-)
