I've never been able to shampoo without conditioner. I wouldn't even look at a 2 in 1 normally since I find most rather pointless for me. However, with the unbelievable low cost and some of the reviews I gave this one a try. So glad I did!!
I washed my hair and was actually able to comb through afterward as if I'd used a separate conditioner. The scent is light, the lather is luxurious and my hair is not only soft, but manageable. V05 has a winning formula with this one! Hope they never change it.

I bought this for one purpose--I needed something that would help detangle my huge 'fro in the shower so that I could actually comb through it (with conditioner in it). I use this stuff and THEN I put in the conditioner and have a very easy time of combing through my hair. If I don't use some kind of 2-in-1 shampoo first, I can't get the widest tooth comb through my hair.

I've been a fan of Alberto VO5 conditioners for a while. So much so that I snatched this 2 in 1 off the shelf without even reading the ingredients. Boy was I disappointed when I got it home and saw sulfates and 'cones in the mixture. It sat around in a drawer for a while before I finally used it with my Tangle Teezer and you know, this stuff is great! I have VERY afro kinky hair and was able to detangle beautifully with this stuff in. Also the fragrance is light and non intrusive. I've used it twice so far and the results were even better the second time around. My wash and gos have never looked this healthy and lush before. There is a worry that sometimes these 2 in 1 products don't produce enough conditioning for hair that really needs it. That was not the case with this particular shampoo and conditioner. I'm still a little aprehensive about the 'cones. Between those and the sulfates they probably cancel each other out for all I know. All I know is it's cheap and it works! Color me impressed. If this keeps up I may have found my staple product.

This 2-in-1 works as well as any other of the more expensive 2-in-1 products that I have tried. It has a very subtle pleasant scent and gentle lather. It is just the right balance of gentle cleansing (doesn't leave hair feeling stripped) and light moisture (without leaving the hair on the greasy side or with heavy build-up). I hope that VO5 keeps this one around for a long time!
