I love this shampoo. It cleans well without being harsh, smells pleasant but not overpowering, gives plenty of "space" for other hair conditioners and styling products. And it's amazingly cheap! On sale, it can be under a buck and a half a bottle! This is my "go-to" shampoo, all the rest I try are just for playing around. V05 cleans up afterward, washing out the residue left behind by other products. Just good clean fun!

This shampoo is the best it is so cheap and sometimes that kind of stuff is the best. Works really well and makes my hair smell good. Why pay so much for other shampoos when you could use this.

I bought this shampoo and the extra body conditioner on a whim, after remembering how my grandmother was a faithful user. She was very picky, so I figured I didn't have much to loose. Plus it was 99 cents a bottle at a local store. My grandmother knew best! VO5 works better than my fancy shampoo and conditioner that is 7 times the price. It made my hair feel clean, soft, and even smoothed my course white hairs. I live in a very dry climate, so I was so happy to find a cheap shampoo and conditioner that kept moisture in my hair. The best part is the smell is mild unlike most cheap shampoos which have about 1000 lbs of cheap perfume in them which makes me itch and feel like I cant breath. Thank you VO5 for keeping these products mild and gentle.

I use this as a shampoo when I wash my hair every other day. I love the smell so much, and the lathering is just right (not too much, not too little). At this price, I would never have guessed that you could get this good of a product. The shampoo isn't what I would call moisturizing, but it isn't harsh either. It is just a good standard, basic shampoo. I would recommend it for fine or thin hair. Also, my hair is colored and this shampoo doesn't seem to fade the color (it does say that it is safe for color treated hair). Finally, if you get sick of smelling like fruits or florals, you might want to give this a try.

I've spent the last two months searching for a shampoo for my dry, brittle, chemically damaged hair. After wasting money on several of the expensive salon brands, and then the expensive all-natural organic brands, I gave up and bought this because it was cheap. It was the best decision that I could have made! I'm not crazy about the strong balsam smell, and the lather could be richer, but the results are OUTSTANDING. My hair is finally shiny, silky soft and full of body again. (I used it with the Extra Volume conditioner, since my hair is very fine.) I will continue to use this for as long as Alberto Culver makes it!

Great shampoo for the price. People think that the more expensive the shampoo the better it will work. Believe me... I have trying them ALL!!! What it is most important is a good conditioner and even the most expensive one's are not necessarily the best. Most clarifying shampoos work for anyone since they get rid of build up easily. Noones like the feel of greasy hair after you shampooed!! This particular one, even though is not clarifying is almost as good as any clarifying and it is inexpensive.

I gave it a try. Not only my hair feels greasy soon after the wash, but also I developed bad itchy scalp and oily dandruff, and my hair has been falling off more than usual. That's one cheap shampoo to stay away from.

This is a great everyday shampoo. It makes my hair clean, shiny, and soft without weighing it down. It smells nice, too, and you can't beat the price!
