Alberto VO5 is a fantastic product that has been around for decades but deserves to be back "in style." Just a tiny bit goes a long way, so use it sparingly or it will appear greasy. When using just a bit, this adds a natural-looking, healthy-looking shine while controlling frizz or taming wild curls. Far less expensive than many other products, while also delivering a far superior product.

My kid has course, curly hair, and this is the only stuff that keeps it in check. I wet it, rub a small amount of this through, then put a little curl enhancing mouse (usually Suave) and scrunch dry it with a hairdryer. Comes out looking beautiful and healthy every time without fail!

I use it just on my ends because my hair is stick strait, and it does make them look healthier. Also does a good job controlling flyaways. In addition, I sometimes use this before shampooing, and it does make it softer than conditioner alone.

My Great-Grandmother used VO5 on her naturally curly hair. What a wonderful product with few chemical ingredients, mostly natural. Use just a touch, easy does it, to control frizz and flyaways. Apply a little heavier as a pre-shampoo deep conditioner. Leaves hair soft, shiny, healthier.

Actually did not buy for myself. I read in a magazine, tried it and did work....I wiped down
the leaves on my large live houseplants. Not only cleared the dust but made them o-so shiney. Now I do it once a month

My stylist and i would laugh (when I finally confessed my "secret product". I've got a very hearty head of hair and VO5 tames it for <$5. a minor miracle.

I'm a dude with wavy hair that poofs if I take a shower and don't use product. I use S-Curl 360 Style Wave Control Pomade daily. I don't want to shampoo my hair twice a day, so I wanted something I could put in my hair at night after the gym/shower. The 360Style doesn't rinse out completely with water, so that may be one reason this V05 seems to be more of a styling product than a conditioner. Initial smell is strong, like wiping the oil off your tires and putting it in your hair. But more or less fades after a while.

I bought several tubes because this product has apparently been discontinued and my husband has been using it since he was a teenager. He wrote to the company and they replied that it was available various places, but it turns out we couldn't find it until we went online to drugstore.com. He has thick naturally curly hair that he blows dry and has always used this product.

This product has been around for at least 50 years, and there is a good reason it is still popular today. I have very dry, curly hair that frizzes easily; My Mom had dry, thin, wavy hair. We both use Alberto VO5 on a daily basis. It calms frizz and split ends, adds some shine, and conditions hair. It's not greasy (unless you use WAY too much!) and has a great scent. I couldn't manage my hair without it!
