Warnings
For your family's protection, this package is child-resistant. Blister-packed for your protection. Do not use if blister is cut or broken.
Allergy Alert: naproxen sodium may cause a severe allergic reaction which may include: hives, facial swelling, asthma (wheezing), shock, skin reddening, rash, blisters. If an allergic reaction occurs, stop use and seek medical help right away.
Stomach bleeding warning: This product contains a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which may cause stomach bleeding. The chance is higher if you:
Are age 60 or older
Have had stomach ulcers or bleeding problems
Take a blood thinning (anticoagulant) or steroid drug
Take other drugs containing an NSAID
Have 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day while using the product
Take more or for a longer time than directed.
Do Not Use:
If you have ever had an allergic reaction to any other pain reliever/fever reducer
Right before or after heart surgery
If you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product.
Ask a doctor before use if you have:
Problems or serious side effects from taking pain relievers or fever reducers
Stomach problems that last or come back, such as heartburn, upset stomach, or stomach pain
Ulcers
Bleeding problems
High blood pressure
Heart or kidney disease taken a diuretic
Reached age 60 or older
Thyroid disease
Diabetes
Trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland.
Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are:
taking any other drugs containing NSAID (prescription or nonprescription)
Taking a blood thinning (anticoagulant) or steroid drug
under a doctor's care for any continuing medical condition
using any other product containing naproxen or pseudoephedrine
taking any other pain reliever/fever reducer or nasal decongestant
Taking any other drug
When using this product:
take with food or milk if stomach upset occurs
long term continuous use may increase the risk of heart attack or stroke
Stop use and ask a doctor if:
you feel faint, vomit blood, or have bloody or black stools. these are signs of stomach bleeding
pain gets worse or last more than 10 days
fever get worse or lasts more than 3 days
stomach pain occurs with use of this product or if even mild symptoms persist
new or unexpected symptoms occur
you have trouble swallowing or the caplet feels stuck in your throat
you develop heartburn
you get nervous, dizzy or sleepless
nasal congestion lasts for more than 7 days
If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. It is especially important not to use naproxen sodium during the last 3 months of pregnancy unless specifically directed to do so by a doctor because it may cause problems in the unborn child or complications during delivery.
Keep out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, seek professional assistance or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.

I battle with lots of sinus problems due to allergies, and many times even prescription meds are not very effective for me. My symptoms are Sinus Headaches, Sinus Pressure all over the forehead, cheeks, and nasal area, sinus pain and sensitivity in the same areas, and it just gets hard to think, have energy and concentrate. Aleve Cold & Sinus is the only foolproof method where it works EVERY TIME. It seems the 4-6 hour meds, it takes them about half the time to be fully effective, and the other half the time to slowly become ineffective. There is no consistent relief. With Aleve Cold and Sinus, there is that actual consistent relief, and it REALLY lasts 12 hours!! I've been able to get through huge conferences with these! They are a lifesaver when you can't pause life!!!

Since the DEA recognized that pseudophedrine - a synthetic congener of the naturally-occurring ephedra plant used safely by Chinese practitioners for milennia - could be 'cooked' into methamphetamine for illegal sale and consumption, the amount of pseudephedrine that one may buy in a single purchase or within a defined period of time has been severely restricted. Other options is Phenylephrine or Phenylpropanolamine, both chemically similar to ephedra and pseudephedrine - but now both being implicated as causing such dangerous side effects such as high blood pressure, heart attack, and stroke -are obviously is not first choices. Although Aleve-D (Sinus & Cold) is somewhat restricted in its sale, one would need more chemistry knowledge and skills that most street chemists possess to separate out the naprosyn (Naproxen), a long-acting Non-Steroidal-Anti-Inflammatory-Drug, or NSAID, and to deconstitute the long-acting pseudephedrine, and so a buyer of Aleve-D would not be a robbery target for a criminal intent upon synthesizing meth. Moreover, the extended duration of the Aleve supports the action of the extended-release pseudephedrine, providing consistent, day-long relief from sinus/nasal congestion as well as body aches and fever that may accompany colds, flu, and other minor upper-respiratory infections.

Every time it rains, my daughter and I get terrible terrible terrible sinus headachs. Aleve D is the only thing that helps. Take this as soon as you think you are going to get a sinus headache, and the pain will go away. I ran out of Aleve-D and got a sinus headach yesterday, and took Tylanol at 9 pm and then ibuprofen at about 3 am. They helped, but did not get rid of the pain, and when they wore off, the pain came back full force. I had to run out and get some Aleve-D a little while ago, and my head is starting to clear and the pain is going away. I expect that I will feel 100% in another hour or so. If I had taken it yesterday, I would be fine right now, because once the Aleve-D gets rid of my headache, it ususally stays gone for a long time.

My husband and I swear by the Aleve products. For the worst head cold, nothing else does the job like this one. I do find that I need to take it early in the day; if I take it too late (after 4 pm) I have a hard time sleeping. I have read to take it with LOTS of water to avoid the insomnia, but taking one in the a.m. keeps me clear til next morning. My husband has no trouble sleeping, he can take them 2x day. No medicine head which is a big plus.

Gets rid of the stuffiness and achiness and headaches from colds. Allows me to function. Makes me a bit sleepy, but it's tolerable and preferable to the sinus headaches and headaches from a cold and allergies.
