Indications
For fast relief of heartburn, acid indigestion, sour stomach with headache or body aches and pains. Also for fast relief of upset stomach with headache from overindulgence in food and drink especially recommended for taking before bed and again on arising. Effective for pain relief alone; headache or body and muscular aches and pains.
Drug Interaction Precautions
Do not take this product if you are taking a prescription drug for anticoagulation (thinning the blood), diabetes, gout, or arthritis unless directed by a doctor. Antacids may interact with certain prescription drugs. If you are presently taking a prescription drug, do not take this product without checking with your doctor or other health professional.
Warnings
Children and teenagers should not use this medicine for chicken pox or flu symptoms before a doctor is consulted about Reye Syndrome, a rare but serious illness reported to be associated with aspirin. As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using this product. It is especially important not to use aspirin during the last three months of pregnancy unless specifically directed to do so by a doctor because it may cause problems in the unborn child or complications during delivery. Except under the advice and supervision of a doctor, do not take more than, Adults: 8 tablets in a 24-hour period (60 years of age or older: 4 tablets in a 24-hour period) or use the daily maximum dosage for more than 10 days unless directed by a doctor. Do not take this product if you are allergic to aspirin or if you have asthma, bleeding problems or on a sodium restricted diet. Each tablet contains 503 mg of sodium. If ringing in the ears or a loss of hearing occurs, consult a doctor before taking any more of this product. If pain persists or gets worse, if new symptoms occur, or if redness or swelling is present, consult a doctor because these could be signs of a serious condition. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children.
Phenylketonurics: Contains Phenylalanine 9mg per tablet
Alcohol Warning: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take aspirin or other pain relievers / fever reducers. Aspirin may cause stomach bleeding.
Allergy Alert: Aspirin may cause a severe allergic reaction which may include: hives, facial swelling, asthma (wheezing) or shock.

I think this tastes SO MUCH better than the original formula which I literally cannot take. And it works quickly and very well. I'm never without it:-)
A friend sent me an email once about home remedies and it mentioned Alka Seltzer as a cure for UTIs.
At the time I was suffering from UTIs once a month or so and I would always end up at the urgent care after suffering for hours. I would have to endure the waiting room, the embarassing doctor visit, a trip to the pharmacy and then more time to wait for the drug to kick in. All the while I was in agonizing pain! These were very painful, time consuming and expensive episodes.
So one day, instead of feeling the UTI coming on and dreading the hours to follow, I took Alka Seltzer right away. Boy, did it work fast! Within 1 hour I didn't even remember I was starting to get a UTI!
I've had enough UTIs in my time to know the warning signs, so now when I feel one coming on I take Alka Seltzer right away. Works every time.
This is not going to work if you already have a full-blown UTI. You need to see a doctor in that case - especially if you see blood in your urine.
I have lupus, which causes frequent headaches, muscle/joint pain, acid reflux, and digestive difficulties, all of which I prefer to treat with Alka-Seltzer whenever possible. I've found that it works literally within minutes if I take it at the first sign of those symptoms, and now it's a rare occasion when I feel that I need my expensive, addictive prescription pain medications. However, the flavor is best described as "lemon-lime soda with soap powder mixed in." And the taste is impossible to get rid of. I strongly recommend buying the "original" flavor, which tastes awful as well, but at least it doesn't linger.
Adults: Dissolve 2 tablets in 4 ounces of water and drink every 4 hours not to exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours. (60 years or older, 4 tablets in a 24-hour period).
