with any other products containing acetaminophen.
if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric, or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know whether your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product.
Warnings
Alcohol warning: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take acetaminophen or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage.
Sore throat warning: If sore throat is severe, persists for more than 2 days, is accompanied or followed by fever, headache, rash, nausea, or vomiting, consult a doctor promptly.

If you have seasonal allergies, this is terrific when symptoms are at their worst. Check your regular medication, but, in most cases, this can be used in conjunction with other allergy medication, giving a boost on those worst days. Of the flavors available, I have found this to be the best (?!) tasting of the lot. Works very fast, since it's delivered as a liquid.

This stuff is a wonderful sympton reliever, and keeps you going if you can't just stay in bed. Even though I quit smoking many years ago, every time I get a cold I still get a wracking cough that can go on for weeks and weeks. I finally consulted an allergist who did scans and tests, etc and then prescribed BromFed, which was a miracle cure for me. I took it happily for years; never had a problem. and for the first time in my life didn't have to carry around kleenix constantly. Unfortunately BromFed is now a controlled substance, and is a terrible hassle to get. I tried pseudofed and it didn't help me at all, as well as being very expensive. The ingredients in Alka Seltzer Plus are similar to those in BromFed. One of the problems of these drugs is the danger of an increase in blood pressure, but I never had a problem with that and I took it everyday for years. (I am 59 years old). From what I understand BromFed became a controlled substance not for health reasons per se but because it can be used in making illegal street drugs. Anyway the Alka Seltzer Plus is a great substiitute and makes life bearable again.
