I use it when I am healthy, or beset with pollen or have a bad head cold. It effectively makes the sinuses feel better and gets rid of the sinus pressure. I* have used it for over 30 years and always keep a half dozen bottles in stock.
It was recommended to me by my speech coach, after I complained about having frequent sinus pains and running nose. He swears by it, because he cannot afford to lose his voice to colds or have his nose stuffed. I was very skeptical, because doctors advised me to rinse my nose before, but the process of trying to put water into my nose had never been working out for me. This package comes with a tube for putting the solution into your nasal packages, and this tube's design on its own accord is worth the money. A small end goes into the nostril, and you keep a finger on the second opening on the side to regulate the water flow. You don't even have to tilt your head that much. I got into the habit of rinsing both nostrils several times a week, and I am on my second bottle. I bought it for my family too, because I love it. I have had no allergies or sinus pains this whole season while everyone around me in the office complains about pollen. If you struggle with any conditions that make your sinus pockets swell, don't just complain - try Alcalol. Comments about Alkalol Nasal Wash, 16 fl oz:
A few ounces of this product mixed with 16 ounces of water and a packet of saline made for sinus rinsing (I like Grossan brand, it doesn't sting) works great for me, one or two times a day in my hydropulse machine. You can also use a hand squeeze rinse bottle. I would not use this product full strength - too strong and too expensive for that.
The small plastic dispenser makes it a bit awkward to use. Instead, I mix the solution with saline and use a neti pot. Works like a charm. I recommended this product to my neighbors and they absolutely love it.
This product improves the effectiveness of regular Neti pot cleansing. It seems to help with clearing more severe congestion and mucus blockage. It is refreshing for long after you have cleansed your sinuses. You can control the amount that you add to your rinse and work up to a more powerful solution. Great product that I am here to purchase again!
I thought this was crazy, but it does really work and it is relatively natural. I was waking up with a stuffy nose for weeks and then began getting sinus headaches. Instead of taking a pill it was suggested I try this and it really works. It can even clear up ears being clogged (as it's all connected!).
Alkalol is intended for use at variable strengths depending on personal preference and thickness of mucus. We recommend starting with a mild dose and adjusting according to preference.
Mild: Add one teaspoon of Alkalol to the Alkalol Nasal Wash Cup, filling it approximately 20%, and the balance with saline or warm water.
Medium: Add two teaspoons of Alkalol to the Alkalol Nasal Wash Cup, filling it approximately 40%, and the balance with saline or warm water.
Strong: Add three teaspoons of Alkalol to the Alkalol Nasal Wash Cup, filling it approximately 60%, and the balance with saline or warm water.
Extra-Strong: Add four teaspoons of Alkalol to the Alkalol Nasal Wash Cup filling it approximately 80%, and the balance with saline or warm water.
