As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a great accompaniment to normal saline sinus rinses. I have tried using it per manufacturer's recommendations and OUCH. BURNS like CRAZY. Instead, we add 2-4 capfuls of Alkalol in our NeilMed Sinus Rinse bottle, after mixing our warm water saline solution up. It is like a very natural feeling Vick's product clearing out your sinus passages. The menthol/eucalyptus freshness lingers helping you to stay clear. HIGHLY recommend this for anyone like us, who used to get several sinus infections a year. We haven't had one since adding this to our sinus rinse routine!!

It's essentally a booster for your Neti Pot. If you have allergies that clog your sinuses this is a must have. It makes the nasal wash much more effective and moisturizes dry nasal passages. It also works brilliantly if you have a cold. I think it even shortens a colds duration. At any rate, it clears your head and nose and makes you a lot more comfortable.

I use this product mixed with a hypertonic saline solution with wonderful results that have further reduced sinus and ear problems. The effects are very soothing.

I have been using this product for years and love it. My local pharmacy that used to order it for me went out of business, so I am glad to find it here. I have chronic sinus problems and allergies, and use both the neti pot and the NeilMed squirt bottle. This is a good addition to both of them. Get it!

I use it when I am healthy, or beset with pollen or have a bad head cold. It effectively makes the sinuses feel better and gets rid of the sinus pressure. I* have used it for over 30 years and always keep a half dozen bottles in stock.

It was recommended to me by my speech coach, after I complained about having frequent sinus pains and running nose. He swears by it, because he cannot afford to lose his voice to colds or have his nose stuffed. I was very skeptical, because doctors advised me to rinse my nose before, but the process of trying to put water into my nose had never been working out for me. This package comes with a tube for putting the solution into your nasal packages, and this tube's design on its own accord is worth the money. It is very simple, but for me it is valuable, because it allows to put the solution into my nose without any discomfort. See the blue tube on the picture. A small end goes into the nostril, and you keep a finger on the second opening on the side to regulate the water flow. You don't even have to tilt your head that much.
I got into the habit of rinsing both nostrils several times a week, and I am on my second bottle. I bought it for my family too, because I love it. I have had no allergies or sinus pains this whole season while everyone around me in the office complains about pollen. If you struggle with any conditions that make your sinus pockets swell, don't just complain - try Alcalol.
I tried different concentrations, knowing that some people find strong concentrations to cause burning sensations. I definitely feel the difference, but find the sensation rather invigorating and not unpleasant.

A few ounces of this product mixed with 16 ounces of water and a packet of saline made for sinus rinsing (I like Grossan brand, it doesn't sting) works great for me, one or two times a day in my hydropulse machine. You can also use a hand squeeze rinse bottle. I would not use this product full strength - too strong and too expensive for that.
