Comments about All Terrain KidsSport Phineas & Ferb SPF 30 Sunscreen Spray, 3 fl oz:
I was really excited about this and thought it would be great for my son to be able to apply his own sun screen this summer. Unfortunately, the product gets clumpy and tacky a few minutes after application. I tried it on myself to make sure it was not "user error". Nope, same thing happened to me. Yuck.
Comments about All Terrain KidsSport Phineas & Ferb SPF 30 Sunscreen Spray, 3 fl oz:
My daughter is extremely sun-sensitive and we take active steps to always use sunscreen and wear a hat outside. Her summer camp requires an easy application (since she's needs reapplied every 2-3 hours as directed). I try to stay away from aerosols as they can be irritating for asthma sufferers and can be not-as-effective. I use the EWG suncreen guide and tried a few different brands. I liked that this one received a high score in UVA/UVB protection as well as decent UV absorbtion (for a spray). We use a lotion for her first sunscreen application of the day (Coppertone Sensitive or Pure & Simple Kids) and then use the spray throughout the day. She is outside from 10-5 most days (with swimming thrown in). You DO have to re-apply, but you do for all sunscreens. So far, after about a month or so of everyday use, I would say we have good results.
I also shared with our pedatric dermatologist would looked it over and agreed that it was one he would recommend, given the ingredients.
The main con is that the stuff has the consistency of spray butter. It's greasy (though that goes away after a couple minutes) and the nozzle can get clogged from time to time. We go through it pretty fast (I would say a bottle every 1.5-2 weeks; she's at day camp 4 days a week).
