I've suffered from lifelong sinus pain, frequent bouts of upper respiratory illness, and allergies (especially in the springtime). First, I'll say that the only product which seems to match this at all is Dayquil, in terms of results. However, Allegra is far more expensive. Yes, it works beautifully, and without drowsiness, at relieving that dreadful pain around the eyes, forehead & nose from these conditions. It gets rid of that horrid burning in the nose sensation. It dries up running eyes well. Only having to take one pill is nice- it's not a small pill, but it's not quite the biggest I've ever seen, either. It does stop working for me personally after about 12 hours (and I'm referring to the 24-Hour Formula that's marketed, this product specfically, not the other formula). When Benadryl & other allergy meds fail- Claritin is one that does NOTHING for me- this may be the one that finally breaks the barrier.
My doctor recommended this for my allergies. For months I was waking up with an "allergy headache." After the first day using Allegra, my headaches were gone. No more congestion, no more itchy eyes either. I switched back to my old allergy pills for a few days, waiting for the drugstore.com order, and the headaches were back after the first day.
