I had such a hard time removing my waterproof mascara before I found this - I often had to scrub my skin so hard to remove stubborn makeup, that it would be raw. I use waterproof mascara because the non-waterproof type tends to smudge all over my bottom lid, making me look like I slept in my makeup over night. The only thing that can remove this type has been the more oily removers. I love Almay because it gives you the convenience of an included pad that is already soaked in the remover. Some people also complained that it makes their vision blurry after use, but that means they are not keeping their eyes closed well enough. I am an eye doctor who also wears contacts and have had minimal problems with after-use blur. I use the pads to remove makeup, then wash my face with cleanser to remove most of the greasiness. Rinse with plenty of water and instill a couple drops of artificial tears and you should be good! Bottom line, this is the best makeup remover I have ever used! I guess maybe this is for someone with drier skin or older but it is definitely NOT hypo-allergenic as it states. I used it for merely 2 days, it was too oily but I could live with that.. what killed me is these horrible bumps and redness I got all over my eyelids, even up to the crease and eyebrow! I couldn't figure out what it was and by the time I realized, it took atleast a week for my eyelids to go back to normal. It was a VERY noticeable rash and I don't have extremely sensitive skin normally. I'd definitely go for the oil-free version. Comments about Almay Eye Makeup Remover Pads, Moisturizing: Love this product, i ordered the non oily one, and this one is very VERY oily, so I'm guessing I got the wrong one, but it does the job perfectly, and I haven't had any break outs or anything weird or irregular. I got Laser surgery on my eyes and this is perfect for removing eye make up, because I'm not supposed to rub my eyes a lot so this is perfect! Was this review helpful? I much prefer this "moisturing" formula over the "oil-free" kind, mainly because the oil-free kind just doesn't remove makeup as well. Yes, it is greasy - but I always follow my eye makeup removal with a gentle facial cleanser, which rids of all the leftover residue. For waterproof eye makeup formulas, it doesn't get better than this. I also love that the formula is already applied to a pad - no need for cotton balls or tissues. I prefer the extra large size but did not see these available online. Some may be bothered by the slightly greasy film that remains, but it is not a problem at night.
