I've been a loyal user for approximately 10 years now. I use waterproof mascara and find this to be the easiest, most efficient, and most effective way to remove it. Yes, it leaves an oily film around your eyes, but this "film" doesn't harm my skin in any way. It's never caused pimples or any other skin condition (and my skin is VERY sensitive to breaking out, dryness, and rashes), so I really don't care about the oily film. I always wash my face with Cetaphil afterwards, so the oily film only remains around the delicate eye area. It works better than any other product I've tried (and I've tried A LOT), and the one-step process of the pre-moistened pads is perfect for my busy life style. Note: I found that these pads work MUCH better on waterproof mascara than the same product (called "Moisturizing Eye Make-up Remover Lotion") available in bottle form. I'm thrilled to have found this product at drugstore.com since it is often hard to find in local stores. Too oily and heavy. It stuck to my lashes long after I used it and several attempts to wash it off and irritated my eyes and messed with my vision a little bit. When I wore contacts it was a nightmare. 2. It didn't really remove the makeup. It certainly couldn't compete with Klorane (my fav) or Neutrogena or Lancome (my 2 runners up that have a mildly oily texture that I like). 3, It's basically mineral oil (something I only noticed after purchase), an ingredient that has never worked on my skin (and probably doesn't work on too many others either). I picked this up for travel (convenience of pads) and I'm going back to my Klorane. It may seem more expensive, but a little goes a long way. Comments about Almay Eye Makeup Remover Pads, Moisturizing, 80 ea: This product is of course, great for removing all kinds of mascara, but it works on almost any other makeup mistakes you make too. It's especially great for removing lipstick. Every woman has put on a lipstick color and then changed her mind. With one pad you can wipe it off and moisterize you lips at the same time! It is oil-based, but I like that. I find the non-oil based removers don't do as good a job on water-proof mascara and is rough on delicate eye tissue. Not sure how it would be safe or recommended for contact wearers, the first ingredient is mineral oil. It made me feel like I just dipped my face in a vat of cooking oil. It was disgusting! Best Uses Comments about Almay Eye Makeup Remover Pads, Moisturizing, 80 ea: The non-oily version does not work as well as the regular (oily) version. I use the regular version at night and the non-oily version in the morning. Regular version removes the 24 hour lipstick/stain very well were as the non-oily version does not. Regular version also works very good on removing waterproof mascara. I like that it moisturizes. Additional tissue needed to wipe up excess oil. Do not use on eyelashes if you are going to put on new mascara soon as the residue will break down the mascara quickly (even waterprooof 24 hr).
