Pinkish undertones and alot of acne hyperpigmentation (hard to cover although i feel I've mastered) I use cetaphil cleanser and then use Saving Face..a tanning lotion for the face. Its great not greasy at all and i think thats the key for good makeup coverage and those of us with acne prone skin. I then use the light version of loreal mineral concealer on my imperfections. I then use the almay and it does take a while to blend in. I put my makeup on in natural sunlight. after that, there can be some spots that are darker than my actual skin so i put a little more concealer on in those spots and blend..it seems to work really well. with natural looking coverage and a luminous glow. no one product will make you look fabulous. experiment! I am very happy with this product mainly because it eventually blends and doesnt look like makeup at all. oh yes..and touch your face with some transluscent powder. i just use covergirl transluscent medium. yep. Comments about Almay Smart Shade Makeup, Light Medium SPF 15, 1 fl oz: This is great for everyday wear. I love the self-adjusting color feature. It's a lightweight makeup that looks very natural. If I have any blemishes, I do need a separate concealer. I have super-sensitive skin and this makeup is wonderfully gentle. For more formal occasions, I use a department store foundation that looks more "polished" but also is heavier coverage.

Surprisingly, iIt's not greasy or powdery. It doen't settle in fine lines. It's just gives a nice, light, natural looking coverage.

Before that, I used the concealer and powder only because it's hard to find the right shade and coverage. This magic formula instantly blends to your skin tone and stays on all day. LOVE IT!

It provided no coverage or improvement to my skin at all. I was so sold on the marketing that I bought this and their smart shade, smart balance version. Mistake and a waste of money. I'm going to end up throwing it out.

It is more of a poor quality tinted moisterizer than even a light-coverage foundation. Worse, it turns orange after a few hours of wear. I've tossed it all out. What a waste!

I prefer medium to full coverage foundation and I did not get that with this product. It gave me less coverage than a tinted moisturizer. I will not be wasting my money on a product that does nothing to hide or at least reduce my imperfections.
