It's been hard to find OTC in my area going on a decade now, which accounts for the usually short "off" time in between uses, so I have to order it. That's a bit of a pain but well worth the effort. I started using this twice a day along with the oil free lotion in the morning and cream at night. After a week and a half my face started to develop a red bumpy rash all over my forehead and cheeks. I am not sure if it is the cleanser of the lotions but it is drying out my skin and causing an ugly irratation on my skin. I am now going to use it every other day with my cetaphil cream and cleanser and see if the red bumpy rash clears up. I would recommend using this every other day until you can see if your skin is sensetive to it. It not only cleansed, it cleared away all of the bumps I received from that other so-called hypoallergenic cleanser. It even had a doctor's name: What a crock! Compared to Cetaphil, which I used for a few years, I prefer this product and am probably on my 5th or 6th bottle by now. I do plan on using a acne-fighting cleanser for morning use, but this product will remain useful for evening washes when afterward I exfoliate. Comments about Alpha Hydrox Foaming Face Wash, 6 fl oz: I wash my face every morning and night with the Foaming Cleanser. I use the Enhanced Lotion AHA 10% Glycolic AHA Anti-Wrinkle after I wash my face. On days that I'm not going outside, that's all I use. If I'm going outside, I use the Sheer Silk Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 15. I'm 68 years old and I don't have any wrinkles on my face, neck or under my eyes. I love the stuff. It didn't smell that good when I first started to use it but I don't even notice it anymore. Besides, if it smelled really really bad, I'd still use it because I don't know of any other way I could keep my skin looking like I'm in my fourties. And that's not my assessment, it's what people tell me when I tell them how old I am. Also, if you check out Philosophy's anti-wrinkle lotion, it smells almost the same. So I just chalk it up to being a terrific product. Not everything works with everybody. I can't use a lot of products, but AlphaHydrox works great for me.
