I have had problems acne all my life. Mostly in teens through late twentys, and than more so again in 40's, I guess due to life changes. As most people, have tried a lot of products, including pro-active, which in my opinion is very overpriced and did not solve my problem anyway. They key, I have found, is to be consistent w/the products you use. Meaning....use EVERYDAY, a couple times a day. This product is easy to use....in morning (under make-up, and at night, before bed) I see a difference in my skin after just 2 weeks of use. My skin looks healthier and it is clearing up my acne, by drying it out I suppose. I use an acne medication along w/it at night as well. Give it a shot. You'll be glad you did.

The gel is very easy to apply, and it works fine with other moisturizers. It is gentle to me and does not irritate my skin.

I'm in my 40's, have oily skin, and use this daily to help my skin look fresh. There are lots of glycolic acid products out there, but why pay for others when this works so well? I love this product because it absorbs quickly and makes my skin looks nice. I hope they never stop making it.

Been using this product at night for two weeks. I can already see the results! I suffer from acne at 26 years old. With this product, my skin has cleared without having to use benzoyl peroxide daily. I've been using Alpha Hydrox in conjunction with Tretinoin since 1990. Over the years, it has helped keep my skin smooth and healthy.

I use Tretinoin at night, and use the Apha Hydrox in the morning, after my shower. I also mix the Alpha Hydrox with my moisturizer and base makeup. I have very sensitive skin, so at morning application I do experience a little bit of stinging and redness... but it is only for a few minutes.

The Alpha Hydrox has effectively helped in the exfoliation of dead skin, especially as I have become older and the dead skin seems to be more difficult to remove.

My dermatologist says I have very healthy skin for a woman of 50, and people do say I look like I'm in my thirties. I can't say this is due solely to the Alpha Hydrox, but I can say it has definitely helped.

It's been a couple of decades, and I am still happy with it.

I was worried that this would dry my skin out, but it didn't at all. I feel a slight tickle around my nose so I try to avoid that area. I have had breakouts off and on since age 20 (I'm now 38). I tried everything. My biggest problem was that the other products would dry out my skin, hardening the surface layers of my skin and causing more breakouts, so I frequently used a scrub. The scrub worked for a while, but the daily scrubbing started to irritate my skin causing even more breakouts. This product gently exfoliates my skin leaving it clear and so smooth and soft. I'm amazed. I've been using it for a month, twice a day. I use the foaming face wash by the same company and it is so gentle. I love that these products are fragrance-free. I've also noticed that the sun damage from a summer in Florida and the high altitude of Colorado is disappearing. No more discoloration. Fortunately, I don't have too many wrinkles yet, so I don't know how it would work for fine lines. The only thing that's not so great about this product is the packaging and the consistency. So thin it should be in a pump. One final note: you must use sunscreen with this product. They recommend at least spf 15, but if you live in a sunny place and you spend lots of time outdoors like me, you better use at least spf 30.

using it nightly, tho sometimes skip a night when skin feels too dry. have fair skin that is only slightly sensitive. had no trouble with redness/peeling. skin tone has really improved, pores around nose smaller, really impressed with the results. havent had a break out since started using this product. we'll see how much it dries my skin out during the winter months, may have to find a better moisturizer.
