I have followed the application directions of twice a day. It has been almost 3 months (the package directs you to discontinue use if you haven't noticed any change after 3 months) and there has been no effect. Comments about Alpha Hydrox Retinol ResQ, 1.05 oz: In the spring/summer/fall I use this every night on my whole 64-year-old face and neck. It's too drying for that in the winter so I went to every other night in December. I noticed a real positive difference when I first started using it almost 2 years ago. Now I think it's mostly just keeping the lines and sags from getting worse - but that is useful, too. I don't usually use a moisturizer at the same time (though I use one on the off nights, and during the day), though occasionally I do moisturize over it on a few very dry or irritated spots. Overall I think this is great stuff, and very reasonably priced. Pros

My skin showed improvement right away...I had no irritation and my skin is so much smoother and my pores are minimized. I don't really have wrinkles yet, but I will continue to use this to help prevent them. I was slightly worried about irritation at first, but whenever I use this (about 3x a week) I first apply aloe vera gel to my face, and then I apply the retinol...it works like a charm! Pros

Anyway, I showed it to my dermotologist and she gave me a prescription for much stronger Retinol. She said I will see quicker and more dramatic results with the stronger solution. Still, this is very good for an Over The Counter product. My face and neck are much smoother and the coloration is more even with it's use. Pros

But I went ahead & tried this, anyway based on reviews. I was not going to use it on my face. I used it on my forehead and upper chest...as a test run. On day 2, I developed a red rash on both areas. My forehead was burning a bit, even with my normal moisturizer. If you have sensitive skin with/or rosacea, I suggest you not use this. Or any Retinol product. Pros
