I like the Hemp Repair shampoo, so tried this. I was not very impressed. It smells nice, but left my hair feeling tangled dry. Not worth the price.

What's up with ALTERNA'S packaging???? All of the products have a very frustrating glitch in the packaging. I like all of ALTERNA'S products....

I bought this shampoo and the matching conditioner about 2 months ago at a high-end salon. I was a bit skeptical, considering I normally use salon quality hair care products to begin with, and this seemed somewhat overpriced for the size of the bottle. I decided to go ahead and buy it and give it a try.

I was surprised. First off, let me begin by saying that I have long (middle of my back) length hair that is very thick. I normally go through a bottle of shampoo this size in just over 3 weeks. This stuff lasted me 8 full weeks. That's right, my next hair appointment is 2 days away, and I have not had to replace the bottle. It's almost gone, but still a few days left in it. It is very thick, and I sometimes need to add water to it in my hand before I even put it on my hair, but so long as I use no more than what I really need, it lasts such a long time compared to other products. Of course, the conditioner is in a smaller container, and I use more of that to begin with, but even that lasts me a month!

Secondly, it actually does add a lot of shine. I have very shiny hair anyway, and most shine products do nothing but make my hair look the way it already does. I noticed that after using this a couple of weeks, I actually had a lot more shine than usual. It also makes my hair very clean, and feels very gentle on my hair in the shower. It gets clean without that harsh squeakiness to it.

Overall, I'm very impressed with this product. I have just ordered another bottle from here to last me another 2 months. I don't feel the need to use anything else to clarify my hair, either. Overall, despite the price for such a small amount, it really IS a good value. It lasts me twice as long as Frederic Fekkai products, which I previously thought were a good value.

I like that this product is sulfate-free. My hair felt clean after using this product, but I had to use a lot to get my hair to lather. Less expensive products work just as well.
