The first time I used these, my period had skipped about three months, and I had to go to the doctor to get those pills to make me bleed. When my period eventually came back, it was very heavy. I normally use tampons, but even the largest size just could not keep up.

These quite honestly feel like you're strapping a pillow between your legs. But it covers my entire panty area, front to back, so that even when I'm sleeping, I can relax, knowing I'm not going to wake up to a huge mess. Best pad for a heavy flow I have ever used.

Helpful for nighttime security for urinary incontinence. Product can absorb a large amount of fluid without spilling. Comfortable to wear and easy to put on and off.

I'll be as frank as possible in this review. I didn't discover these until my boss and a coworker told me about them earlier this year. I had been using Always ultra thin overnights for years (extra long and extra thin) but my flow has increased and although Always was great, my sheets and night clothes were suffering. I also had problems during the day if I felt a 'gush' coming along, I'd have to quickly stand up because if I didn't I knew it could go over the top of the pad and cause a problem. I don't have to do that with these. They're long, thick and absorbent. Yes, I do feel like I'm wearing a diaper. No, they aren't very discreet. When I have my period and have to wear these, I make sure my wardrobe includes a long top. I don't care! I can be at ease now! They're not great for spooning with your honey either but my boyfriend understands and at least I don't have to worry about being embarrassed in the morning when I stay at his house during my heavy days. I found out about this product prior to meeting him. If I hadn't, I probably would NOT stay at his house during that lousy time.

I used to absolutely love these pads! I have recommended them countless times over the past few years. When this pad first came out, I thought they were the most amazing pads to ever come along. There was nothing out there quite like them. They were incredibly thick, wide, and intensely absorbent. They were luxurious, plush, and super comfortable. I never had leaks anymore (not even at night during my heaviest flow). There was no other pad out there even remotely as thick or wide as these used to be. That's why they never moved around or bunched up (because they were incredibly thick-NOT ULTRA THIN). I felt very confidant wearing these out knowing that they would protect me from embarrassing leaks or spillage. They were also a Godsend for me when I got the flu and suffered intense incontinence every time I coughed. If I had these so called new and improved pads during that time, I would have leaked urine everywhere!They took a fabulous niche product that people fell in love with because of it's exact specifications and changed it completely! What were you thinking Always! Why mess with something that people loved for a reason! How ridiculous! The first thing I noted was that they are literally not even half as thick as they used to be! Gone is the thick, wide, plush look and feel that we have come to expect from this pad, and in it's place is a flimsy, extra long, ultra thin, just like any other ultra thin on the market! They took away the width which is so important in protecting you from having spillage over the sides and elongated the pad instead so that it creeps up into an area where it doesn't belong all day long (I kept having to adjust it constantly)!In addition, because it has lost all it's thickness, it bunches up like an accordion constantly! It doesn't even stay in place because it's so flimsy and thin! Almost no movement at all causes this thing to bunch up leading to heavy leakage! These are worthless now! To add insult to injury, they irritated my skin, which has never happened before using these pads (I guess it's something in their new "wicks away moisture" design)! I called Always and sure enough, they modified these pads in January 2012 so once the old stock runs out (which it is doing now) everyone is going to wake up (I am already seeing other reviews like mine at [@] about this)! I buy these in bulk and had purchased several packages before I realized what was wrong! You can tell that you are getting the new pads because they look so much thinner even in the packaging (and it says "New and Improved" on the package towards the top).Disappointed is putting it mildly! After looking at several different alternatives (not fun and very costly) I found a Poise Pad with wings that come close (but still not as great as these used to be). Big mistake Always! If it's not broken, leave it alone for God sakes (if people didn't want a bulky pad, they had a million other ULTRA THIN choices out there)! Raise the price if you must, but changing EVERY reason that we loved this pad was a really big mistake! You should have just changed the name on this pad. This new and improved pad is nothing like it used to be. You cut the thickness of the pad over a year ago as it is, and I nearly stopped using the pad there and then, but now it's so thin and flimsy, that it makes no sense to use anymore to keep leaks at bay. There were a million ultra thins out there for people who are ultra thin themselves or don't have a really heavy flow, but you took the one pad that was made for people like us and did away with it. I've been a customer for years on this pad, but it's time to look elsewhere again (and I notice more synthetics in the part that comes into contact with your skin as well). Goodbye Always. It was good while it lasted....

I use these thick pads as a stuffer for diapers. They are very absorbent and the thickness and long length provide a high sense of quality I am looking for. These are better than regular boosters, so I buy them regularly and stock up as much as possible. Happy to have found these. Very absorbent.

I agree with another girl who posted, this particular product is NOT as thick as it used to be. If Always would at least DOUBLE the thickness and add about 3 to 4 more inches to the back it would be perfect. All women will agree that no matter how careful we are, the accidents leak mostly at the back waist on the panties when everything travels downwards while sleeping on our backs........MAKE THEM LONGER, MAKE THEM THICKER. I have to use Goodnight Pull Ups (or store brand Pull-ups for up to 120 pounds) for my night protection because NO PAD ON THE MARKET is long enough and thick enough for total overnight protection. I recommend it for moderate active lifestyle day use.
