I normally use Always products, but I bought this Always product by accident. I can't use products with added scents (detergents, hand/bath soap, lotions, etc.), so I normally read labels very carefully. This package was side by side with the unscented packages. After using one, I threw the rest of the package away. The added scent caused irritation.

These Always pads are not to be used when you have your period. Mostly they are (in my mind) for us older ladies that deal with a little urine leakage. The side plastic is a pain but I fold it back so that it doesn't stick to my thigh or cause pulling. These pads don't really have wings but just a little wing that you can also attach to your panties instead of just folding them back onto the pad itself. (There's still enough 'stick-em' to hold to your underwear.)
I couldn't live without these-they are the best and most affordable of their kind. The other brands are too bulky or too thin-I'm 66 and have tried them all.
So try a box--you might like it!!

Well, when I first started my period I used Always Pads. Soon after I had been using them I started to notice some irritation down in that "area". After struggling for many months with this uncomfortable irritation thinking all of it was due to adolesence and growing up, I finally went to the doctor. She said I had vuvalitis and a yeast infection. :( I told her I used Always Pads and she said all this was probably due to the plastic on the pads. I had to take very bad tasting medicine and use a cream "down there" for quite some time. I am still recovering from my infections and irritations. Although these pads are comfortable, thin, have good protection and many girls and women think highly of them, I DO NOT reccomend them due to my situation.
