The first few weeks of breastfeeding can be extremely uncomfortable and these pads made it so much more bearable. I have tried several other brands but these worked much better than the others. I wore these 24/7 for about 2 weeks to help with sore nipples. They only last 4-5 days so I did go through several pairs but they were worth it!

Comments about Ameda Comfort Gel Hydrogel Pads, 1 pr:

I used these with my third child. I had severe wounds in the early weeks of nursing with the past two children - but toughed it out so I could nurse them for their first year. I wasn't looking forward to the pain again, with baby number three. However, while I was in the hospital with the third child the nurse gave me a sample of these and I noticed a difference immediately - the scabs and cracks that were beginning to form stopped and began to heal within the day. I used these with some nursing butter since I've had such issues in the past and I haven't had the same issues this time around. I tried the Lansinoh Soothies and those didn't work at all for me, providing no protection or soothing and cannot be used with nursing butter. I tried the Medela hydrogel pads that are a lot like these and they were ok - they provided the protection needed but didn't fit as well and moved around a lot, plus they don't last as long. So these Ameda hydrogel pads were the best for me.
