I was expecting a thicker gel that had more sculpting ability. The gel was fairly runny and not much different than other gels I have tried, and those other products are much cheaper.

This is a great firm hold gel. My 2 sons love it. I bought a cheaper brand a few years ago. Not the same, it's still under the sink. Worth the extra money to buy the American Crew brand. One has thick curly hair and one has less thick straight hair. It works very well with both hair types.
