I tried it shortly after she recommended it and in a few weeks the bumps were gone and sometime after that, I don't recall how long, the red scar like marks they leave behind were also gone. After all these years I'm still using it as a preventative and my arms are smooth and clear. I only apply it to the areas it's needed so it lasts quite awhile. It does not have a great smell so after it dries thoroughly I apply my regular lotion as usual. I've recommended this to countless people, including my cosmetologist and she now recommends it too!! I'd used other unrelated products in the past successfully for this purpose (so I know it's possible to get rid of them). I used about 80% of the bottle over about 2+ months before I gave up on it. From my perspective, it was a bad 2 months. REVIEWS Reviewed by 82 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 41-50 Pros

Comments about AmLactin Moisturizing Lotion, 7.9 oz: This is the best lotion for severely dry skin, eczema, or ichytheosis (a scaly dry skin condtion). It softens, moisturizes, and removes scaly skin. It is expensive, but a little goes a long way, especially if you apply it right after bathing or showering. Pros

Comments about AmLactin Moisturizing Lotion, 7.9 oz: Scrubs were not getting rid of the tiny bumps on my outer upper thighs and hips. Someone told me about Amlactin. It takes about 2 months, use it twice a day, when you come out of the shower and before bed and my skin became baby soft! Comments about AmLactin Moisturizing Lotion, 7.9 oz: As an African-American that has suffered with extremely dry skin, eczema, keratosis pilaris and dark discolorations since childhood, I have tried every cleanser and moisturizer you can think of and nothing has helped me the way Amlactin has. NOTHING! This is the only product that has ever significantly softened my skin, faded my dark patches and got those ugly bumps off of my elbows. I have only used it twice a day for six months now and I've seen a huge difference! For the first time in my life I feel comfortable enough to wear short sleeves. It is well worth the price. Comments about AmLactin Moisturizing Lotion, 7.9 oz: This is the most effective lotion I've found for dry skin in our desert climate. This was recommended to me by the Skin Cancer & Dermatology Center. It's difficult to find here. Costco used to be the only place I could find it, so I'm excited to find it on the drugstore.com website! Comments about AmLactin Moisturizing Lotion, 7.9 oz: This is the best lotion I have ever used. I am a nurse and I wash my hands a lot. It is one of the few products the keeps my hands from chapping and seems to stay on in between washings. I recommend this to anyone with a problem with dry skin. Comments about AmLactin Moisturizing Lotion, 7.9 oz: The company says this product is #1 recommended moisturizer by Dermatologists & Podiatrists, and I believe it. AmLactin smoothed my rough heels, and the bumpy skin patches caused by keratosis pilaris. It has also been an excellent hand moisturizer for me. It prevents the flaking and cracking if I use it everyday. Comments about AmLactin Moisturizing Lotion, 7.9 oz: I too use this for bumps on my upper arms. It works great when I can bring myself to use it regularly. But it smells horrible (I tried adding a few drops of lavender essential oil to the bottle; it helped a little, but not much). It is also very greasy feeling and takes a long time to fully absorb. Lac-Hydrin 5 seems to work not quite as well, but with slightly less offensive scent and slightly less greasiness. It's kind of a no-win situation. I have found that exfoliating like crazy helps me be able to use this less often - I alternate days using this lotion or using a pumice scrub on my bumpy arms in the shower (don't do both, AmLactin stings like crazy if applied right after a serious exfoliating) Comments about AmLactin Moisturizing Lotion, 7.9 oz: This is the only thing that has taken care of the bumps on my upper arms. The instructions call for twice-daily usage, but I use it once every day or two. A little goes a long way. Some have commented on the smell, but honestly I have not noticed any perceptible scent at all. Looking forward to some sleeveless shirts this summer, whoo hoo!!! Comments about AmLactin Moisturizing Lotion, 7.9 oz: I purchased this to help with the Keratosis Pilaris on my upper arms. It was okay, but Lac-hydrin Five works much better. Would recommend that over AmLactin. Displaying reviews 41-50 ![]() |
