Comments about AmLactin Ultra Hydrating Body Cream, Fragrance Free, 1 oz:

Both my 11 year old daughter and I have moderate to severe cases of keratosis pyloris on our arms. I have had keratosis pyloris since I was a small child. It has always made me self-conscious. My daughter has listened to questions and negative comments from both adults and peers about her arms since kindergarten. I have tried various lotions, creams, prescriptions, etc. over the years. Nothing ever worked, not even things suggested by a dermatologist. Less than 5 years ago, I found a face cleanser with alpha hydroxy acids that seemed to help, but it left me sun sensitive and at certain times of the year a little dry. Tried dealing with the dryness with moisturizers, but unfortunately most either did not work or made me break out. Found a lotion by Philosophy that worked pretty well, but it is so much more expensive. Recently though I found an article about the top 10 lotions/items to help KP. At any rate, I looked at all the lotions in the article, and this one being one of the more reasonably priced, I thought I would give it a try. I am glad that I did. My daughter and I are both seeing a nice difference. I haven't used the AHA cleanser for weeks, which is awesome. The blotchy redness that my fair-skinned daughter experiences has been lessening, and her arms are smoother than they have ever been.

Comments about AmLactin Ultra Hydrating Body Cream, Fragrance Free, 1 oz:

I'm extremely aroma-sensitive so always looking for good fragrance-free products. I've been using Glysomed Hand Cream, Fragrance Free for a few years now and it's by FAR my favorite lotion, but is a *bit* heavy for frequent use. So I decided to try Amlactin by buying a small tube of cream and a small bottle of lotion. I was disappointed to find that both of them have a smell. I don't think it's an added smell, presumably one that occurs naturally with the ingredients, but shortly after putting each product on my hands, I had to go wash them because I didn't like the smell. Disappointing.

    • For Those Little Red Bump

Comments about AmLactin Ultra Hydrating Body Cream, Fragrance Free, 1 oz:

I have those little red bumps on my upper arms and shoulders that I was told was due to dry skin. So I have been slathering on Lubriderm for years, to no real effect. Within two days of using this product, my bumps started to fade and smooth out. Apparently there's no real cure for this particular skin condition, but I can tell you that this is the best my shoulders have ever looked. I will use this product religiously from now on.

Cons - a little greasy, and kind of funky smelling. But these are absolutely MINOR compared to the results.

Comments about AmLactin Ultra Hydrating Body Cream, Fragrance Free, 1 oz:

My pharmacist recommended this product for my severe dry working hands and feet. It works great!
I like the unscented so I don't smell floral. The best use I find is before bed time. It is not a natural product by far which is something I rather use but for once in a while short term when my skin is really sever in winter. It's ok in my book. It's not recommended for open skin so when my hands are cracked, there may be some stinging but its mild and short lasting.

I broke out with a rash under my neck on the front side two times before I realized it was caused by this produce. Did not put it on my neck, but it broke out there twice, before I realized it was this product causing the rash.
