Oxysept® Disinfecting Solution is a sterile solution of micro-filtered hydrogen peroxide 3% (stabilized with sodium stannate, sodium nitrate and buffered with phosphates) and purified water.
Oxysept® Neutralizing Tablets contain catalase, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, and cyanacobalamin (vitamin B12) as a color indicator with buffering and tableting agents.

I have sensitive eyes and my eye doctor recommended this product. I used to use the cheaper products and didn't realize they were tearing up my cornea. My eye doctor said, "No, it's not allergies causing redness to your eyes. There are small tears in your eye, possibly from your cleaning solution. Allergies do not cause this."
My eye doctor gave me a sample of Oxysept and I have never used anything since! Even the pharmacist recommended I not change brands (after I asked for Oxysept and they didn't carry it). She said, "Don't change, especially if you have sensitive eyes." I have never had red, itchy or burning eyes since I started using this product.
Even if you don't have sensitive eyes, you will appreciate Oxysept's effectiveness. Sure it's a bit expensive, but if you have sensitive eyes like I do, you will definitely appreciate it's gentleness. Just DON'T FORGET TO PUT THE PILL IN the contact lens container. It will sting like you will never believe!
This is an excellent product and I would recommend it to everyone. Try it. Trust me. You will NOT be disappointed!

I have used the Oxysept system for 20 years and simply love it. I can wear my contacts 12 - 15 hours a day with absolutely no redness or irritation. Others that I know have to take out their contacts after 8 hours or so due to irritation and redness. I have used this system with 4 different brands of soft lenses and it worked great no matter the contact lense brand

I have been using this contact solution every night for 25 years. My contacts last longer than anyone else I know and they are very comfortable from the moment I put them in until I take them out 15 hours later. My eyes never get sore, red or iritated even after 15 hours of use. This is the best solution out there!

This is a great contact solution. After disinfecting overnight in Oxysept, my contacts always feel great for a full 12-16 hour day. I prefer it over the multipurpose solutions because it has no preservatives, and it is known to disinfect more completely.
In the past I tried Clear Care (another hydrogen peroxide solution), but it made my eyes feel swollen and irritated, probably because of its built-in cleaning agent. Oxysept has never caused me any discomfort.
I also prefer Oxysept's use of neutralizing tablets instead of the platinum neutralizing disc that Clear Care uses. Using the tablets, neutralization is delayed so that the contacts spend more time soaking in pure hydrogen peroxide, which means better disinfection.
The only downside to the Oxysept system is that it requires separate products for daily/weekly cleaning. This isn't that big of a deal, since most contact solutions require rubbing anyway. It is a little bit more of a hassle, though, having to deal with an extra bottle or two. The recommended weekly Ultrazyme cleaning tablets are probably optional if only wearing two-week disposables, but might not be bad idea if wearing monthly (or longer) contacts.

Service and delivery comments:
Sometimes the boxes of Oxysept have been crushed in transit. This places pressure on the small internal box that contains the neutralization tablets, which in turn causes breaks in the foil wrapper around the tablets, exposing them to air and moisture, and making them unusable. For a long time this only happened infrequently, but in the last shipment, I had to discard about half the tablets. As this is an expensive item, I have lost a considerable amount of money because of this problem.

I have been using peroxide based contact less fluids since 1984, Oxysept since 1988 . Unlike some of the new products, peroxide offers powerful disinfection and disintegrates into oxygen and water - excellent for allergy sufferers, no toxic preservatives entering your eyes and body. Also , peroxide helps with protein removal, however additional lens cleaning is necessary. I wear specialty toric lenses, very expensive. One advantage of specifically Oxysept is that you can shorten the procedure. After let's say 2 hours in the solution you can crush a tab and get quickly your lenses ready, something you cannot do with products with catalytic ring. This is the most popular product across Europe and while it is an american invention, you cannot find it any more in the stores in the U.S. Absolutely recommended, irreplaceable.

I have used this product every day for the past 2 years . MY child has chronic dry eye condition and wears Boston Scleral lenses . I find it easy to use I easpecially like drop in pill method VS> the metal ones used in other brands. I just purchased 3 bottles !! I will continue to use however long it it available .

Daily use of you Oxysept® Disinfecting Solution
Clean each side of your contact lenses with a daily cleaner and rinse with a sterile saline solution before placing them in the appropriate basket of the Oxysept® cup.
Disinfect by filling the Oxysept® cup with Oxysept® Disinfecting Solution to the fill line.
Neutralize by dropping 1 pink neutralizing tablet into the solution before inserting the lens holder and tightening the lid.
Invert the Oxysept® cup 3 consecutive times to wet the upper surface of the cup and the inside of the cap to ensure full neutralization.
Think Pink - The Oxysept® neutralizing tablet will color the solution pink, reminding you that you have added the neutralizing tablet at the beginning of the 6 hour soak.
Soak your contact lenses for a minimum of 6 hours from the time you dropped the pink tablet into that Oxysept® cup. Your disinfected contact lenses are now ready to wear.
Once a Week
Remove Protein Buildup - Add one Ultrazyme® Enzymatic Cleaner Tablet at the same time you add the Oxysept® Pink Neutralizing Tablet to the disinfecting solution.
Follow steps 4 through 6 before removing lenses from the cup.
Rinse your lenses with a sterile saline solution prior to wearing.
