Let me first say, I wasn't shopping around for a beauty balm, simply for a lightly tinted moisturizer with sunscreen. I think the pricing is fair for the ingredients used and the quality of the item. I appreciate that this product uses only Zinc Oxide for its sunscreen factor, since I'm avoiding chemical sunblocks. I looked up all the ingredients on EWG's Skin Deep and I'm happy with the low numbers! I think it's great that they don't use cheap, gross oils like castor oil. No glycerin, so the moisturizer isn't pulling moisture from the deeper layers of my skin just to make my outer layer of skin look nice - causing more problems in the long run. The product smells slightly sweet and citrus-y thanks to the orange oil. I know they say orange oil is phototoxic but it's the very last ingredient on the list, so I'm hoping they used a very small percentage of it.

The product looks slightly orange when it comes out of the tube, but after you apply it and let it soak into your skin, there is no orange tint. Definitely very sheer coverage. Very moisturizing - my face feels incredibly supple for hours after I've put it on. I have dry/combination skin, though not acne prone. Recently, I've been struggling with a patch of dry, flaky skin near my chin/cheeks, and using mineral powder foundation only serves to highlight those flakes. This moisturizer helps cover it up and moisturize/heal it! Can you say, "YAY"?! I like that it makes my face look dewy (key word: dewy, not oily). It's a natural kind of shine that I personally like, though it may not be for everyone. (Being shiny is normal, people. You don't want to be as dry/matte as that paper you're blotting on your face).

I'm honestly still not 100% sure what this fruit stem cell complex and bioactive berry complex are, even though I've looked at their website - but hey, it seems good for me and I love knowing that I'm actually benefitting from what I'm leaving on my face. I only hope they don't add any weird stuff to this/re-formulate it!!!

BB cream is a wonderful alternative to heavy foundations if you do not need a ton of coverage - very lighweight. I smudge it into my red cheeks with a foundation brush - looks so natural, does not cake or look like makeup. I do not need any other makeup other than on my red cheeks due to Rosacea, so this is perfect! Other companies sell similar products for big bucks. This is well worth the price.
