I have been taking these for several weeks now and while they don't seem to have done anything for my hair, my nails are growing VERY fast. I have been a regular nail biter for a long long time and have very short nails. I bought this in the hopes that speeding up nail growth would somehow deter me from biting... I still bite them occasionally but they are growing a lot faster than I can chew them off. You can see the white tips and all now, I'm looking forward to pretty nails by the end of the year! Can't really comment on nail strength, however - my nails have always been fairly sturdy.

Appearex Really Works! I have been taking this product for about 3 1/2 months. I have NEVER had nice nails. My nails are no longer cracking, splitting and the ridges are gone. People always asked me if I "smashed my thumb" because that nail grew so lumpy with ridges. It looked horrible. Now that has been corrected, as well as the other issues of splitting, peeling bending and breaking off. The nails from the cuticle to fingertip are all almost perfect already. And I now have 1/4" nails on ALL of my fingers. I have NEVER had that at one time. It does take right around that 3 month period to have nice nails, as others have mentioned.

I have always had baby fine, fragile natural blonde hair that falls out easily. So far I have noticed my hair (and nails) growing faster and my hair does not seem to be falling out as much. I have not noticed significant improvement in fullness yet, but am hopeful for the future. Perhaps this may take longer, more like 6 months to a year...not sure. If anyone can provide feedback on how long substantial hair fullness/improvement takes, I would love to hear.

One further comment: I took GNC Hair, Skin and Nails for somewhere between 2-3 years and do not feel it worked. Appearex definitely worked for me....it almost feels like a miracle and I am very grateful for finally having beautiful nails and not having to hide my hands!!!

I really like this Biotin supplement. It was recommended by my dermatologist because my hair was thinning--probably due to the stresses of professional school (I am only 24 years old), and I think it really works well. I have been taking it daily for 6 months now, and I have noticed that my hair looks healthier and it's not as thin. Also, my nails don't peel as easy and they are healthier too. I am really happy with the results!

Friend recommended this product which her doctor recommended she use. I gave it six months (my hair and nails grow slowly) but I'm not noticing any difference at all. Nails still weak, tend to split and break. Ridges still obvious.

I work in healthcare so I have to wash my hands a lot. My nails have taken a beating from all the water and disinfecting soap. I tried numerous lotions and potions to help my cracked, peeling nails to no avail. This supplement really made a difference. It took about 3 months before I really had my beautiful nails back. I am glad I gave this a try!
P.S. After using Appearex for 6 months, I tried using a generic biotin supplement with the same 2.5 mcg. strength. My nails started to crack and peel again. I went back on the Appearex and my nails got better within a month. I will not use another supplement again. I like having pretty nails!

This was suggested as "possibly effective" by my dermatologist. I am 67 and very healthy, but my nails suddenly started to get weak. Within six weeks they are almost perfect and I'll try using polish again. Perhaps polish (I recently tried gel polish, a very bad idea) or strong polish remover dried them out.
