Have used for years. Does cut down on amount of nicotine and tar. I always re-hydrate the filter before use.
Some of the filters are packed too tightly, making them too hard to use.

I've used these for 20 yearsand never smoke without them. However, the quality control is poor b/c the filter is often packed too tightly inside of the filter and you have to throw some away. I always let water drip in the filter before using it and then blow it out.

Each time I smoke, I use one of these aqua filters. It really traps the tar and nicotine. It's a good and effective way to cut back or help quit smoking. I don't cough like I used to and I find myself smoking less now. I am looking forward to quiting completely. I have tried all kinds of things and this is the one thing that has helped me alot. I recommend it to anyone who is serious about cutting back or quiting.

I started using aqua filters in 1995. They use to have water in them. You will blow in to it before affixing the cigarette to release the water and one filter was used for 5 packs of cigarettes. But some how they have reduce the quaility of the filters and now you will find at lest 4 them (in a pack of 10) with poor quaility and can only be used on 1 pack of cigarettes each. I wish they will give us back the quality we are accostume to; for we still need our filters to help cut the tar and nicotin. yes I will still recommend.

to help to cut down on smoking.then to use patches to stop completly.from 2 pks a day to 1 with these filters.dont know how long it will last,but so far so good.i figure even 1 less cigarette has to be good.you also must really want to stop.it is not easy.good luck to who ever tries.because trying is what counts.

Actualy the aqua filters being sold now are of less quality than before. I used them for years buying them from Dauane Reade;
But when they stop selling them as of this year, I went to the net (in a hurry i must add) and thank God; Drugstore.com has them.
But I noticed they have little to no water in them. But I'll never smoke with out them.

I have use Aqua Filters for years, but the tip is hard to remove and the quality control is poor. Some filters do not have water and some have too much, some of the filters too thick and not usable. Lee needs to work on the quality control.

I thought I'd try these to help me quit. They are very easy to use.
I didn't find it affected the taste at all, and I smoke light cigarettes.
If you remove the silver ring, you can look inside and see what the filter has accumulated (just seeing that is my incentive to quit!)
