I've tried numerous products, proactive, Murad, MD skincare, kiehls etc., you name it I tried it. Two years ago, I met dermatologist whose specialty was acne and she recommended this toner. She told me to use twice a day, apply on the clean face and wash off and then apply once more. I absolutely love it and simply the best for oily skin. I can't live without this toner. The problem is, my skin breaks out worse if I use it regularly. Although it doesn't feel as if it is over drying, I am guessing that it causes the skin to react by producing more oil, which blocks pores. Sometimes, but not always, I find it slightly irritating to the skin also. For example, I have found that I cannot combine it with other acne controlling products containing benzyol peroxide or salicylic acid. It also makes my skin a tad more photosensitive. As a result, I only use this product as an exfoliant when my complexion begins to look a bit dull. It does make the skin look more youthful with use because it removes dead skin cells more effectively than facial scrubs. For this reason, I don't think the use of this product should be restricted to those with acne prone skin. Its best use, in my opinion, is to minimize the effects of aging. Cons Best Uses Comments about Aqua Glycolic Toner, 6 fl oz: My daughter had acne-prone skin so her dermatologist recommended this product (called AquaGlyde back then and was only $7.00). I saw such improvement on her that I began using it myself and have used it continually during the more than 20 years since. I'm told I look years younger than my age and I credit this product as it is the only product that I have used continuously. There is nothing that can compare and I hope they don't stop making it. Comments about Aqua Glycolic Toner, 6 fl oz: This product is not available in any of my drug stores and I found it at drugstore.com. I saw a program on skincare that recommended using this product after cleansing and regular toner. I use at night as the third step before using skin serum. I have noticed an improvement in skin texture. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Yes / No - You may also flag this review 6/14/2012 Love It! Great product. Comments about Aqua Glycolic Toner, 6 fl oz: Started using on recommendation of plastic surgeon. Have used for years and now my teenagers are using also! Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Yes / No - You may also flag this review 1/26/2012 Great product. I love it! Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Aqua Glycolic Toner, 6 fl oz: Recommended by my dermatologist. I've been using it for several years. I do think it should be less expensive. Also, the bottles tend to leak in shipping if the top isn't tight enough. Service and delivery comments: The last delivery came with one of the bottles almost empty. It had leaked through the wrapping. The bottles should be packed in individual baggies even though they come shrink wrapped (most, but not all of them, have been shrink wrapped. The one that leaked was shrink wrapped.) Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Yes / No - You may also flag this review
