I have been using Aquafresh for the past 3 days. The left side of my mouth is so terrible sore, it hurts to even type this. My teeth feel as if they need a blanket over them to protect them from the cold air. I could justify this as a "one time occurrence", but in this situation, it is not the case. The same pain occurred a little over a month ago. My dentist was very concerned we might have to conduct a root canal. He decided to put me on antibiotics and some type of PAK to see if we could strengthen the gums surrounding my teeth. Obviously it worked so well I forgot about the tremendous pain. Not thinking toothpaste could cause this type of pain, I started using the remainder of the Aquafreh toothpaste tube. I would not wish this pain on my WORST ENEMY!
I have been using this for about 6 weeks and find that I have substantially greater tartar build-up than I have had in the past with Colgate Total or Crest and my teeth are not as white either.
I didn't know how sensitive my teeth were until I used this toothpaste. I haven't had problems with this and any other product, so I'm not going to buy it again. If you don't have sensitive teeth, this toothpaste does it's job.
The flavor of this toothpaste is really overwhelmingly minty. I'm not usually bothered by strong flavors but this makes me gag when I use it in the morning. It reminds me of cough medicine. I will finish the tube because I'm sure it works fine, but I won't be buying it again.
Adults and children 2 years and older: Apply toothpaste onto a soft bristle toothbrush. Brush thoroughly after meals or at least twice a day or use as directed by a dentist or physician. To minimize swallowing for children under 6, use a pea-sized amount and supervise brushing until good habits are established. Children under 2 years ask a dentist or physician. Store below 30° C (86° F).
