I use baby aquaphor at every diaper change and it works great to prevent rash. It was recommended to me by a nurse at the hospital. I use this in combination with Burts Bees diaper cream if my baby starts to show signs of rash. It also works great on runny noses to help with heal red, chapped skin.

I saw a few rash spots on my 3month old's bum, used the diaper mud I had purchased for just such an occasion, saw no change, headed online to find out what other Moms recommend.

IT WAS BABY AQUAPHOR hands down

I used a thin spread after EVERY diaper change from then on and my now almost 2 year old son has never since had a bum rash.

We also use it for ouchies, our lips, drool rashes, chapped skin, really anything that needs a little bit of a barrier from the elements until the healing can happen.

I use this for my lips since they tend to dry/crack often. This product goes on well especially if applied with a Q-tip & stays for a long time especially at night before I go to bed. The next day when I wake up, some of it is still on there & my lips is totally moisturized. During the day I apply only once cuz it lasts literally all day.

This is an awesome multi-use product. I always use this on my lips and cuticles before bed--it's really great for treating extra-dry spots as a nighttime treatment. However, I wouldn't use it during the day on a dry, flaky spot; the dry flakes will fall off, but because Aquaphor is so thick and doesn't absorb, the dead skin will get trapped in the ointment and stay there until you wipe it off--as in, moist white flakes on your face all day.

Our 3 month old had patches of dry skin. It wasn't quite eczema so our pediatrician recommended Aquaphor. We put this on him after everybath and whenever we get him down to his diaper and it has improved his dry skin significantly. He's back to that baby soft we love so much. It doesn't have a smell really so it's great.
One of the ingredients is Lanolin which is used in many nipple creams, so I knew it was ok if baby put hand in mouth after moisturizing.
I bought two of this size(one for each diaper bag)and of 14oz tub for the nursery to always have on hand.
Works great for mom and dad too!

This works well for healing dry/chapped skin. As a parent of a newborn, I wash my hands over and over; the Aquaphor helps keep my knuckles from getting too dry.

But the BEST use is for preventing diaper rash. It really coats my daughter's skin to prevent irritation between diaper changes and is super-easy to wipe off and reapply.
