The only active ingredient is petrolatum. In comparisons, the $1.99 Vaseline works just as well as this Aquaphor and is no more greasy or heavy.

I started putting this on my lips before going to bed, lately my chapstick hasn't been really doing the job. Even when it wears off I still wake up with soft lips and I substitute this for gloss as well. Another great benefit is if you have cracked heels, you put this on your feet and sleep with socks on, your feet are smooth the next day. Great product, I also carry the small tubes in my purse as well to moisturize my lips and cuticles.

This product was originally recommended to me by my dermatologist when I did Acutane back in the day. Now 10 years later I always have some on hand. Now, yes, this is a greasy product, but that really can't be avoided if ultimate hydrating is your goal. I keep the larger tube in my bedside table to put on my hands and feet before bed. Amazing in the winter to heal horrible dry spot woes. I buy the smaller tubes for travel, work and in my car so I'm never without. I love that this is fragrance and irritant free, great for anyone and everyone!

I was receiving chemo treatment at NIH and an effect of my treatment caused my feet and legs to swell. Swell so badly they cracked and blisters formed on the outside of my skin. The blisters subsequently burst, leaving 2"-3" raw patches. The wound specialists used this product every day on these sores for about 2-3 weeks, and the raw patches healed completely. I will NEVER be without this product in my medicine cabinet.

I have sensitive, chapped lips and bought both the Aquaphor healing ointment and lip repair to try. Am very happy that I bought the healing ointment, it's long lasting and quite effective. Although it did not repair/heal the chapped lips (it's been almost 2 weeks but my chapped lips still feel very dry and sore if I don't put on the ointment after bathing/brushing teeth), but it creates a barrier and prevent them from getting worse.

This is great for chapped lips and hands. I use it before bed for overnight healing, but also keep a small tube in my bag for protection in harsh conditions.

I purchased this for my little guy because he was getting breakouts/rashes around his mouth and chin. I was informed it was teething rash and was recommended Aquaphor...works fantastic!! His little bumps look inflamed at times and as soon as I apply this they completely subside. I decided to try it on my hands which have a few severly chapped spots due to my profession. Within 2 days they are pretty much healed!

have been using this product at least 12yrs if not more, i must have this in my house at all times, i have 3 grown children who feel the same way and we are passing it on to all the grand kids the 2 that are in school have the small size for themselves and we use the baby ointment also for the baby, i keep one by my stove in the kitchen to have on hand for burns
