I am having radiation treatments for a brain tumor and my oncologist's staff gives this product to all their patients. It eliminates some of the heat and soaks into the skin but still leaves a protective layer. Without Aquaphor, I would probably be miserable with itching and extreme redness. This product helps alot to prevent that. It has no fragrance, which is key for me.

I have used it on my hands at night with gloves and my hands are nice and soft by morning. I also use it occasionally on my heels as does my husband who has a terrible case of dry heels right now. The best use for me so far has been on my chapped lips at night. It really works great on my lips!!

Comments about Aquaphor Healing Ointment, 14 oz:

I purchased this product for a coworker who recently gave birth to a baby girl who has severely dry skin. She was so appreciative when I asked her how the product worked for her little one. She was previously using a generic brand but stated that this brand worked a lot better. When I saw that it was on sale I immediately ordered two for her and I am glad I did.

Comments about Aquaphor Healing Ointment, 14 oz:

My dermatologist recommended this when I asked what to use on chicken pox blisters so they would heal without leaving scars on my face ( I am in my 40's!). Doctors use this when they do skin biopsies so the wound will heal right and not dry out too fast. It doesn't smell but it is very heavy ( pretty much just pure mineral oil) so if you are sensitive to this you might want to find a water-based product instead. It works well but if you are using it on your face, beware of the fact that you might get a pimple or two if you are prone to that sort of thing.

Comments about Aquaphor Healing Ointment, 14 oz:

In cold weather I develop fairly severe dermatitis, which involves intense itching on my lower legs. I apply Aquaphor generously every night, and it is quite helpful so long as I use it consistently.

I'm forced to wear support hose and the friction of the hose causes my heels to be very dry. Using the Aquaphor has made a huge difference. I also use it as a lip balm. It's a great product.
