Then I figured out that if I use my free hand to pull the outer corner of my eye toward my ear, it straightens my lash line and makes my lashes stand out better from my face-- making it very easy to set the curler on my lashes and giving me a great curl -- and preventing me from grabbing my eyelid with the hot grippers (ouch). Now that I figured this out, I love love love the results I get with this curler. Will never go back to unheated. So after reading reviews on several beauty blogs, I decided to try the Ardell Heated Eyelash Curler. The price was cheap in comparison to many heated eyelash curlers on the market. It heated up fast, as indicated by the changing curler pad on the device. I was afraid that I would burn by eyelid but that has not happened. This curler seems to hold the eyelid far enough from the heated elements. The con was that it took practice to get a natural look. When I first started using this curler, my lashes sported an L profile. You have to work your way down the lashes to achieve a natural curl. That aside, this curler is a nice value for the price. Comments about Ardell Heated Eyelash Curler, 1 ea: Alright, here is the thing. This eyelash curler works, don't get me wrong. But the shape is so awkward! Recently I have just been taking my regular eye lash curler and letting my blow dryer heat it up. Works wonderfully. Quick, painless & better results Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Yes / No - You may also flag this review 10/28/2011 Works great! Pros

Best Uses Comments about Ardell Heated Eyelash Curler, 1 ea: This works great. I have always used a heated eyelash curler so I go through a lot of them (they don't have a long shelf life). This works as well if not better than most. My only complaint is that I have to hold it to heat it. With others, I can flip a switch and it heats. Was this review helpful? Comments about Ardell Heated Eyelash Curler, 1 ea: This heated curler works better than ANY curler I've tried, but only when it IS working, of course. It stops heating for no apparent reason within days to weeks of purchase. It is NOT because the batteries died. It still lights up, but no heat comes on. Comments about Ardell Heated Eyelash Curler, 1 ea: For those of you who have complaints about this product... you should figure out ways to make it work instead of giving up on such an awesome concept...let me explain.I use this for 2 minutes on each eye...not 20 seconds like the user who doesn't like it... (no wonder you don't like it... you may as well not use one at all for 20 seconds!) The design flaw can be overcome by holding the battery cover closed while pushing up on the button.... easy fix.The inside connectors become less tight over time and are not tight enough to hold the batteries so you might think it is broken... it may be but fix it! ...another easy fix.... take out the batteries & use something to move the connectors closer together...come on people...use the brain God gave ya! This is the best thing since sliced bread if you want awesome lashes...except for Latisse which I also use...get the generic from All Day Chemist.com...you'll get compliments all day like me :) LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!! :) Bought eight for Christmas gifts this year for [$] & free shipping!! (no brainer)You will not be disappointed for [$] each :) Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend (1 of 2 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? Best Uses Comments about Ardell Heated Eyelash Curler, 1 ea: It is very hard to use because it's design doesn't make room for your fingers to press the device while it's up against your face. Plus, the lashes, when curled splay out and don't look natural. Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Best Uses Comments about Ardell Heated Eyelash Curler, 1 ea: Thought that a heated lash curler might be just the thing for my long but straight stick out lashes. The curler is comfortable and I had no problem inserting all my lashes and pushing the lever up to hold them for a heated curl. It wasn't hot or painful or annoying. Just disappointing as there was no difference between the just curled lashes and my regular ones. For a week I tried holding it up to 20 seconds, putting mascara on right after, doing it twice on each eye, but every time was the same result: No curl whatsoever! Comments about Ardell Heated Eyelash Curler, 1 ea: I've used this for about two years now and it holds curl all day. When the batteries die that's pretty annoying, but that just goes to show how addicted I am to this thing. I love it. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about Ardell Heated Eyelash Curler, 1 ea: I'm asian and you know how our lashes are like. Non existent is the most widely used term.Normal eyelash curlers don't work, not Shu Umera, not Shiseido. The curl just don't hold! This creates a very nice curl, and voila! visible lashes just with mascara! However, it's not without its faults.1. it's hard to manipulate. When i manage to get my short lashes in between, by the time I push the grip together, it's out of placement.2. You can feel the heat on your eyelids, not a comfortable feelingFor its price, I'm glad I got it. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about Ardell Heated Eyelash Curler, 1 ea: Not designed well; you really have to play for a bit to get the hang of it. I really dislike having to hold the handle to get it to heat up and the button is completely in the wrong place so your thumb is in the way and prevents getting a good angel on the eye. The curler part is too thick so you have to be careful not to get the lashes at the wrong point otherwise they stick straight out and really look funny. It takes way to long for a normal morning, but of you have the patients to play a bit and get the hang of it and the time to do it you can get a very nice curl. Best Uses Comments about Ardell Heated Eyelash Curler, 1 ea: This product worked for two weeks only. I have one just like it with the name 'Hot Touch' that has worked for years. The only problem with it is it so old it is now falling apart but it still heats and I keep holding it together. Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful?
