[...]& I wanted to try a different product for flea & tick control. I have purchased Ark Naturals Neem "Protect" Shampoo twice since. Over the last two & a half years I have used no less than ten different products & combinations of products. This shampoo does everything it claims & more, so my search has ended.My dog becomes ill from the Vet recommended drops and flea & tick collars cause him to itch constantly and irritate his skin.Living in Florida we have to protect our pets year round & this product not only repels the insects but has soothed irritated areas on his skin that then healed because he wasn't scratching or licking them.We shampoo our dog every week to ten days & love the way the Ark Naturals product leaves his hair soft & smelling fresh. When he gets wet from rain or playing in the sprinklers he doesn't have that wet dog smell, we still smell the Neem "Protect" Shampoo.I added good value to pros because we no longer have to use the messy drops made him sick & left grease marks on the wall.

We washed our 25 lb. long hair dog with this last night and it's the best animal shampoo I've ever used. It has a thin consistency for easy application and works into a very nice, thick lather. An irritated area on our dog's leg is noticeably less inflamed today; she hasn't scratched once and her fur smells incredible. Ark Naturals shampoo is what we'll be using on our pets from now on.
Initial Use: Wet coat and apply a generous amount of Neem "Protect" Shampoo. Work into a good lather from head to tail. Leave on animal for five minutes and rinse well with fresh water. Brush animal's coat when dry to remove any debris that may not have washed out. After coat has dried completely, spray generously from head to tail with Neem "Protect" Spray.
Follow-up: Use Neem "Protect" Shampoo and Neem "Protect" Spray on a regular basis, especially during warmer months. Use regularly for animals that live in warm climates and/or spend time in tall grass or wooded environments. Neem "Protect" Shampoo is a non-toxic, environmentally sensitivity and can be safely used on an ongoing basis.
Note: For animals that are infested, remember to wash pet's bedding in hot water, and then spray with Neem "Protect" Spray.
